Pros and Cons

Pros

Tableau is an extremely powerful data visualization tool that makes generating insights from large sets of data easy and fun.
Creating dashboards, reports, and interactive exploration tools is very fast with Tableau. Sheets can be duplicated and altered to create vast perspectives of data.

Cons

To be completely honest, Tableau is very proactive regarding product developments. I have never used a software that makes such frequent and leap-frog style updates to their platform. Every year they release ground breaking advancements that make you say "Thank you!".

Return on Investment

Large organizations are often times hesitant to try new strategies without data to back them up. Tableau has provided an incredible ROI to the firms that I use it with; we are quickly able to show the C-Suite what the ROI was on past strategies - making getting the OK for the next project seamless.

The software is: Cohesive, Powerful, Easy, Fun, Smart, and Rewarding.

Their conferences are the best I have ever attended. I try to make it every year.
They're colorful, clean, well designed, well planned, and well executed.

Tableau's CEO Christian Chabot is a wonderful presenter, and a great guy.

The software, the company, and their conferences are highly recommended.
