I was not part of the process for selection of Teamcenter. However, what I find different in Teamcenter is the ability to configure and customize to adapt for customer needs.

For product development and engineering. Best to integrate with different cad tools. However, in my opinion, the data model is quite complex which makes it difficult to integrate and also report on bom
