Overall Satisfaction with TeamViewer
We use TeamViewer to remotely assist our distributed endpoints on a daily basis. Most of these endpoints are connected to our LAN but we also connect to machines outside of our network to assist our employees while they're performing remote work.
- TeamViewer is very easy to use
- TeamViewer is known by most users and can rely upon it
- Clipboard integration and screen sharing are very seamless with TeamViewer
- Quick Connect client works well for users who don't already have TeamViewer installed
- The Corporate version of TeamViewer lacks easy permissions and sharing between groups configured within TeamViewer. Each group has to be manually configured
- TeamViewer doesn't have a tool to deploy itself, 3rd party tools or GPOs are necessary
- Remote execution of commands such as installing software or launching scripts without connecting to an endpoint would be a nice feature. 3rd party tools are needed.
- TeamViewer allows remote employees to assist from anywhere with an internet connection. This allows our team to be more distributed without physical barriers.
- The yearly subscription is inexpensive and allows for unlimited updates
- The subsciption model works very well for us, Teamviewer also makes increasing our license count is very easy if needed.
- There is no grace period for inadequate licenses, you simply cannot use the product if all of your licenses are in use.
I feel that TeamViewer's integration with clipboard and hotkeys works better than any other software in the market.

TeamViewer Security and Support
No, we have not purchased premium support for TeamViewer, nor have we found it necessary.
We have used permission based access groups for our managed endpoints to prevent unauthorized outside access. By implementing this access control policy we can selectively allow specific machines to accept connections from agents outside our account.
I would buy TeamViewer again, I was the reason that TeamViewer was purchased at the company.

Evaluating TeamViewer and Competitors
Yes - We replaced a remote assistance software called DameWare. We were not able to assist users off our network with Dameware, we needed an always accessible tool like TeamViewer that allows assistance from any internet connection, anywhere
- Product Features
- Product Usability
- Product Reputation
- Prior Experience with the Product
Price is fair, the product works very well. Reliable and simple to use, I have depended on it for 10+ years.
I have not compared TeamViewer to other products, we are not interested in switching to a new vendor. If it's not broken, don't fix it.
