Overall Satisfaction with UKG Pro

We have had UKG since 2009, upgraded to Pro in 2024. We only use UKG for payroll and benefits. It works well for those applications; I cannot speak about recruitment or performance modules since we don't use those modules

Pros

  • keeps track of PTO for non-exempt
  • has a good community to ask questions
  • much easier to use than spreadsheets

Cons

  • There are times that the SQL will just fail, processes we have used for 10 years all of a sudden disappear
  • The UKG local representative needs to stop by at least 2 times a year
  • Cost, about $5 more each employee per month than competitors
  • hard to say we are a very small company, and it was 14 years when we switched from ADP
  • If ty SQL'S lessened we could eliminate one person from hr working on work tickets
one payroll instead of multiple payrolls
I am fairly new, so I have not had a experience like this yet.
It's responsive to the users making changes to stay ahead of the game
they are newer programs, Paylocity has a lot of flexibility to make changes where we have to make work orders with UKG. All of the prices are about 20% less per year than UKG

Good for Payroll Good for Basic Query of Reports Good for working on work tickets although the tickets take longer than I expect. IT Analyst gets asked why did this issue become a problem and they have no clue, this doesn't help a customer feel good on what else is going to break.
