Overall Satisfaction with Veeam Data Platform
Veeam is a great backup solution for our environment. It is used to run used for monthly backups and also for reverse incremental backs throughout the weekdays to allow for quick and easy recovery. With each backup we then put it onto tape and move the data off site for a more secure and long term solution. Veeam allows us to manage all of this in one simple location.
- Virtualized workloads
- Endpoints and physical servers running Windows & Linux
- In addition to back up, we also snapshot some of these workloads
- Application-centric recovery using Veeam Explorers (for Exchange, SQL, Sharepoint, etc)
- Capacity Tier to store data within object storage for longer term retention

We have several items that we use to backup excluding our VMWare and databases.
- Reassurance that our data is secure
I was not involved with the decision to purchase. But the idea of needing a reliable backup solution was needed and after reviewing those on the market Veeam was selected.
We have looked into this as a cloud based back solution but the cost was too high so the decision was made to decline at this time.
We run a full backup of our environment to insure that we are protected as much as possible.
