Overall Satisfaction with Visual Studio IDE

Many of the software products we work on from prototype and early development to full deployment and sustained software development utilize a lot of Visual Studio.
  • Library Integration
  • Code completion
  • Code check-in comparison
  • Command line interface
  • Easy way to load example code
  • Load times & resource usage.
I generally utilize Visual Studio because of the dynamic code environment, and the robust debugging tools. C#, C++, and ASP are good fits but Python sometimes is harder to get all the libraries loaded correctly and dynamic viewing during code development.
I find it very appropriate for multi-use management and large code-base. I find it less appropriate for cost-sensitive and small project development.
