Hatchbuck is much better than MailChimp except for MailChimp's ability to send RSS based emails.
    Chose BenchmarkONE
I demo'd MailChimp. They seemed pretty simliar, but honestly I decided on Hatchbuck because the customer service and special attention they provided during the demo stage.
    Chose BenchmarkONE
I like Hatchbuck because they're a smaller company so they provide more personalized customer service.

Hatchbuck is in a class by itself.

Hubspot and Infusionsoft are awesome, but, there is too much to understand and layers of tools which sometimes end up taking up more time than the typical small business owner has to invest.
    Chose BenchmarkONE
Hatchbuck has much better integration and segmentation features. It easily allows me to send an email to any segment of my list without having duplicate addresses across multiple lists. Any email creation tasks are also much easier.
    Chose BenchmarkONE
We've used Salesforce and Streak. Hatchbuck is vastly more robust than Streak and not nearly as burdensomely complicated as Salesforce. It's the perfect solution for a small business.
    Chose BenchmarkONE
It made a difference to me to have a live marketing person to assist me.

Mail Chimp: the price was better, but the platform was not predictable. You did not get the same support with MailChimp.

Hatchbuck is great for small to mid size businesses that are really looking to keep track of their progress with their sales leads as well as their existing customers, as well as tracking the activity their customers are taking from their communications, and automate their sales and marketing funnel as much as possible. We are a SaaS company (software as a service), with sales that range from teeny tiny to very big fish so it's been an easy tool to work with to make sure we are communicating with clients based on their size and needs.

Using Emma for weekly templated email use with minimal changes is awesome. If you want you can create a master and make minor graphic edits quickly and easily from your smartphone. Any edit is possible as long as the artwork is on the online server. Only time I hit a bump in the road is when I was asked to change the style sheet and did not know that the pricing plan I was on did not include this feature. Client had to wait to send new format until Emma performed the requested changes.

In the past, I have used Getresponse. I found it very handy for Affiliate Marketing but not good enough for Corporate Marketing. I then incorporated Benchmark Email into my arsenal because it is good enough for both Affiliate Marketing and Corporate Marketing. With the upgrade costs on Benchmark Email not sustainable to a growing entrepreneur like me, I had to get SENDIO. I am learning to use SENDIO and I am discovering it's very cost-effective apart from giving me unlimited space for my contact lists. While SENDIO is the best for bulk emailing, Benchmark Email remains the best for Corporate Emailing, though I am keeping all three software.

At the time we made the decision to move to Emma, my organization was using both MailChimp and Constant Contact. Emma's drag-and-drop template editor surpassed both, and even editing the pre-made template HTML in Emma was easier. List management was much smoother than the clunky Constant Contact and MailChimp lists we had. From a design perspective, we chose Emma for its ease of use in creating templates and modifying existing ones, as well as the ability to push out branded templates and brand assets through its master admin/subaccount capabilities. Emma's analytics and reporting were much less frustrating to navigate and understand, such that, rather than spending all of our time trying to make sense of the metrics from a campaign (which we were definitely doing), we were attracted to being able to report easily and then move on to determining how to make real improvements

I used Intuit Mailchimp, and I would say other software I used is equally good and competes with Intuit Mailchimp. Well, Intuit Mailchimp's reporting is better, and ActiveCampaign has more affordable pricing, so in the end, it all comes to what you need. What we needed was available in cheaper price in other software as well. But I would definitely say Intuit Mailchimp has its own advantages too.

Mailchimp over the years I've used it has grown in leaps and bounds. They have added so many additional features than were previously available. They are truly an all-in-one marketing platform now. If you're a small operation and just want to add email to your marketing efforts, they're there for you. If you're a larger operation and want to start sending postcard advertisements, they can do that. If you'd good with that and want to kick up your marketing by going social, you can do that on their platform. They are truly able to be as small as you need, but also get quite large in whatever it is you'd like to do through their system.

    • Stores using the platform have seen good deliverability stats. Open rates and click-through rates are high with the templates that Emma creates. We still face the challenge of getting more users on the platform.
    • User satisfaction is high for our users who are regularly using the platform.

    • One of my retail web store clients was sending out email specials and notices about once a month. After clicking the send button, we would watch Google Analytics and the current site users would light up immediately. Often, the current site visitors would pop up to 20, 30 or more after the email was sent. On a normal day, seeing 1 or 2 online users would be OK.
    • Pretty much in all cases, we could see an uptick in positive activity after sending out a Intuit Mailchimp email to a list.
