Zoom Workplace, Zoom’s open collaboration platform with an AI Companion, empowers teams to be more productive, and strengthen customer relationships throughout the customer lifecycle with Zoom’s Business Services for sales, marketing, and customer experience teams, including Zoom Contact Center.
The functionality of Genesys Cloud is intuitive and easy to use since we currently are using PureConnect for the most part. We have seen great comps in other tools but only in form of demos thus far. Compared to other tools we see an increase of cost with Genesys Cloud.
Genesys Cloud (formerly PureCloud) offers many options out of the box; whereas, in Altitude these things need to be developed. Genesys support is faster to reply and resolve issues.
We do use Teams for internal communications, but for external communications with vendors, contractors, etc., Webex has way more features to have productive meeting sessions. And aside from Teams, it has the lowest per-user cost with a great option for a full bundle of $25. It …
the video was not clear and latency was high even when the bandwidth is 500mbps and if the number of users increased in a meeting, then its impossible for us to use cameras. this is the reason why we shifted to Webex App
Webex stands out for its comprehensive features and enterprise level security that cater well to hybrid work environments. Webex app is a unified communication tool unlike other platforms.
Zoom and Google Meet are cheaper in costing but Webex App is more efficient in handling team wise meetings, sending email notifications about the meeting and notifying people just before the meeting. Zoom and good meet are advised if the costing is to be considered as a …
Compared with Webex, Microsoft Teams has a more intuitive interface and better integration with Outlook. My organization was using Webex before the COVID-19 pandemic and continues to use it. We have now fully transitioned over to Microsoft Teams for smaller team meetings, with …
Comprehensive Hybrid Work Support: Webex App was specifically designed with hybrid and remote work in mind. It brings together messaging, meetings, and calling in one unified experience, which is especially useful for organizations looking to simplify their tech stack.
Webex App is easily integrated, especially for companies that are already using unified communications and collaboration equipment. Compared to Zoom, which is mostly targeted to "fresh" users as it does not need a baseline footprint on the company. We also already use a lot of …
Cisco Jabber is competitive against Microsoft Teams, Zoom
and Slack, all 3 of which we also use. However, I can expect t to cede
more ground in the future as more organisations embrace the other 3 applications.
The cisco jabber is the best compared to genesys cloud . I try a lot of different software to replace the regular phone at the office. For me, this is the best for its reliability and simplicity. It does what it need to be. Good sound quality for the customers. Never complaint …
Better security and advanced features, configuration and centralized management, more intuitive features during meetings, integration with audio, video and hardware. Webex App provides best in class solutions in security and automations while keeping a friendly and easy to use …
Webex is superior to Microsoft in video collaboration. Webex Meetings interface has come a long way, and the functionality and usability are superior. Where Webex is not so useful is document management. The interface for MS SharePoint/Onedrive is there, but it has been …
Lately, Webex is adopting many features of MS Teams. Both platforms can be used interchangeably, really depends on the participants and which platform is more compatible with all so that we can expect [fewer] problems for the planning and also during the execution of the meeting.
Albeit being slightly less intuitive to use, I would consider Webex App is more "professional" or formal than Zoom, and we preferred to use Webex App because it was readily available and already used by most people.
We selected Webex because we are a Cisco partner and Cisco products are known to be the best. When we evaluated it, several requirements were brought up but the one we were more concerned was security. Cisco showed us how secure it was and it was enough for us to decide to …

Webex is better than Skype. But need to improve to compete with zoom. Zoom user base is growing rapidly with its simple design and easy-to-use interface. WebEx needs to be simplified further.
WebexApp is reliable for getting connectivity with Telecom vendors in North America and Latin America for technical support sessions. It is compatible with various PC /OS systems of end-users. I like to engage customers using Cisco Webex App because it demonstrates that my …
First, I liked the stable platform Webex provides. Call dropping never happened and this provides high reliability for meetings. Second easy to start and schedule meetings. Integration with Gmail or outlook helped to keep track of scheduled meetings. Second, secured platforms …
Zooms overall layout is far better than others. User friendly and the options/settings are placed in a methodical way. Also, the ease of use between devices is good, going from computer to phone and vice versa is easy.
I think Zoom Workplace is about equivalent to the Webex suite. However, Microsoft has the edge due to the breadth of capabilities packaged with Microsoft 365/Entra.
I wouldn't say I like Teams; it's complicated, and it lacks functionality; often, clients use Teams, so im forced to use it, but during meetings, I end up sending them Zoom links so we can continue on Zoom.
We've selected Zoom because it integrates easily with our CRM and allowed to port our phone number. Unfortunately, their billing and tech support are really bad.
Zoom over Webex, while nothing against Webex, Zoom is much easier to understand and use right out of the gate. It provides simple functionality for a nice, clean video conference and also has the bandwidth that we needed to host a lot of people (500+) while Webex could not …

Compared to its competitors, Zoom is more cost-effective, as well as simpler to install and use. It's also more reliable, as Google Meet's call quality has been poor for meetings larger than one-on-one. Even Microsoft Teams has a Zoom plug-in for teams to use. I chose Zoom, so …

Zoom provided cost savings, so SJSU switched from Webex to Zoom.
Zoom has simply been easier to use and better quality product compared to Cisco WebEx. Meetings run smoother, video and audio delay is minimal, sharing content is done with a click of a single button, and on top of that, there is also great chat build right into the Zoom client.
Cisco has the end to end product line that includes the endpoint and Webex meeting. Most notably, the Cisco Room Kits Suite of products are high quality and easy to install/use. They look professional too, whereas the 3rd-party product by Zoom lacks that kind of professional …
I've used them all, and there's no competition. It just works! I used to work at Netflix and we used Google Hangouts. It was terrible and had limited features and we did everything possible to hack it to have the features Zoom natively has. Organizations big and small will love …
We have been able to use Genesys Voice AI conversation BOT to address customer standard queries like check upcoming appointment schedules, reschedule appointments, payment status, bill copy. All these use cases were handled by agents earlier and now this has been completely automated. We are now able use agents for complex tasks and provide standard services 24/7 which earlier had agent dependency.
It can be useful for organizations which uses hybrid and work from home model. By using this application we can seamlessly connect with each and every person in the organization. Used to conduct meetings about progress of project and can be able to present our data to others by screensharing option.
Zoom Workplace is ideal for many businesses, more so because it saves money by uniting different functionalities into one app - meetings, messaging, phone, and scheduling. The tool keeps teams connected thanks to the amazing collaboration and communication features. In addition, Zoom Workplace is helpful for businesses with a hybrid team, thanks to its effortless connections.
The online meeting within the internal team using Webex App is always a good experience as it helps well in sharing screen, and any content for that matter.
It helps in arranging online interviews and it is also very good experience using the web version of Webex App.
It also helps in arranging online training sessions and webinars which generally involve huge number of participants generally over 200+ participants and Webex App handles it very well.
It offers amazing unified collaboration features, including Zoom whiteboard, Zoom team chat, and integrated mail and calendar.
Zoom is a great meeting solution, with features like smart recording, breakout rooms, and personalized video and audio, making it a functional business meeting tool.
It is equipped with amazing AI features that help summarize meetings, generate content, and provide quick catch-up, allowing one to ask AI questions without interrupting meetings.
I don't think there is any malfunction in their solution; it's extremely convenient to use, be it creating a meeting invite, adding people, sending any extra stuff to them. It's quick, and this is the only tool that works seamlessly even on Androids.
The upcoming upgrades working with Genesys Cloud and Salesforce are very exciting. Even though we don't use Genesys Cloud to the fullest extent it can be used (we just migrated a year ago), when these upgrades roll out, I am very excited to see what it can do to for our agents. I think they are going to be very impressed
While Webex has strong adoption on the administrative side, the LTI tool for Webex is lacking some important support for teaching and learning. Therefore, faculty do not see much value in Webex and prefer to use other tools that are easier to access and more likely to benefit their students within the LMS. Webex has not been the easiest to work with for identifying pedagogical roadmap improvements, especially compared to competitors who work closely in the education space
We're sticking with Zoom for the foreseeable future--given its compelling feature set, ease of use, and advanced technology, there's just no other competition to be excited about. Plus it's a Gartner-recognized industry leader, so it's a rather easy choice.
Everything is very good. It is very useful, friendly to users and it makes our work easier than what we expected. I think that I don't need any help from someone on how to use Genesys coz basically they will directly feed it to you without any hassle on using it.
Webex is quite usable, and it is, in fact very easy to use as well. You don't need a lot of documentation to learn how to use the app as it's mostly self-explanatory. The user interface is easy on the eyes, and people can see buttons without issues. Overall, WebEx's front-end design is great and I don't have much issue with it.
Zoom is made for the non tech office. It has features that can be made to do what you need to run things on a day to day basis. Immediately we we able to get meetings going with remote employees. The ability to be able to add smartphone connected people was a big plus. Zoom met our needs at the time.
The platform is highly reliable, with minimal downtime or outages, and is generally available when needed. Over the course of using it, unplanned outages or application errors have been rare, and any issues that did arise were quickly resolved. Genesys provides robust support and maintenance, ensuring the system remains operational during critical business hours. However, like any cloud-based platform, there have been occasional disruptions, though these were infrequent and quickly addressed. Overall, its availability has been excellent, supporting smooth daily operations.
I would say every time I open it, it is there, there are times that our users have to sign out and back in to get it to work or even do a full exit as the app will disconnect from the controlling the desk phone, but some easy steps to sign-out or fully exit the app gets the user back up and running quickly.
There have been less than a handful of outages during our two years with Zoom, and whenever there was one, an email informing us of the outage went out immediately, and they had the issue resolved shortly thereafter.
Overall, the platform performs well, with pages loading quickly and reports typically completing in a reasonable time, even with complex data. The interface is responsive, and most day-to-day tasks are executed efficiently. However, in some instances, especially during peak usage times or when running very detailed, large-scale reports, there can be slight delays. While these are rare, they occasionally affect workflow. Additionally, the platform generally integrates smoothly with other systems, though some integrations can slow down slightly, particularly when pulling large datasets or interacting with older, legacy systems. Nonetheless, the performance is strong and reliable for most use cases.
On standalone it works fine, it used to consume a considerable amount of system resources in the past, but with updates and upgrades, this has improved quite a lot. As far as integrations with other systems, we have not come across any critical issues with the app.
Zoom has among the best performance of any video conference platform, as I've mentioned several times. Besides that, their Chat platform works great, and their back end always runs smooth. It's unfortunate that reporting can now only be done by one month at a time, but nonetheless, it only takes a second to run any kind of Zoom report, whether it's an attendee report, Poll results, a user report, a list of meetings from the past month, etc.
Support does indeed resolve the issue but they seem to be really slow and I have to stay on them to get my ticket handled. Everyone I have interacted with is very professional and pleasant. Other than being slow its been a good experience
Talking about Webex App technical support is talking about the quality because they are always attentive and willing to attend to our needs, and the response is immediate; every time we have needed help to solve a problem or find out a function, they have not responded quickly, Cisco has always been characterized by being efficient and deserving 10 points.
Because I got a response right away, and was assigned one specific individual to work with me from the beginning to the resolution. I had an actual email address and direct contact with this person without having to start over and over every time I contacted Zoom - this singular individual remained attentive and was well informed on the subject matter and quite able to resolve my needs.
Genesys team that provide trainings are friendly and professional. They helped us to understand well the product and the functionalities. The training was detailed with use cases. At the end, we got a task to develop that ended with success and we got some Genesys rewards. It was amazing experience
I am very satisfied with my experience with Webex App in online training. The creation of the event is very easy with the possibility of scheduling it in advance. The management of participants, organizers, and animators is complete. The invitations are automated and by simply using emails we can create all the schedules of the training session
In general, it gives a description and can help to understand what to do and how. but: Sometimes, it does not keep up with changes in the system (for example, in the GUI changes, additional features and so on). Sometimes, much easier and helpful to read the documentation (https://help.mypurecloud.com/) that gives the "better" explanations and takes less time.
I would rate the online training 8/10. It provided clear and well-structured content, making it easy to understand the core features of Webex. However, I believe it could have been more interactive, with practical exercises or real-life scenarios to enhance user engagement. More advanced topics or troubleshooting guides could also be helpful for deeper learning.
My Team was involved in the discussion before implementing the application. We had a whole walkthrough of this product and during the demo itself we were very impressed with type of service we were getting. The integration of the product into our system was very quick and seamless.
There was quite a bit of back and forth with TAC and Cisco Reps to get it fully up and running but we did get there. Some of which had to do with documentation was not fully understandable. But with Cisco TAC we were able to get fully up and running.
If you receive any pushback from higher ups, point to any of the various positive reviews like this one. Or show Zoom's excellent Gartner report, or articles describing Zoom's partnership with Sequoia capital. It's not difficult to show how Zoom is a trustworthy industry leader with best-in-class technology.
Genesys Cloud CX is much easier to manage than PureConnect - all from one system rather than needing separate components to install and validate. The ease of use when utilising all of the functionality really brings us to present day technology. Where it falls down is in its Outbound systems, currently we are still using pureconnect as an outbound platform and shortfalls in the Cloud CX system has meant we must look elsewhere for our future operations.
Microsoft Teams, while being built for more file sharing, completely misses the mark. I prefer Webex App which focuses on being a great chat tool, rather than trying to become something it is not. Slack is preferred over Webex App, but just barely, and it is only because Slack has a slightly more intuitive group discussion function.
Teams do not stack up to Zoom at all. My clients use Teamas because it is a corporate policy, and they use it most of the time between employees of the same company. It makes sense for this, NOT for me. Every time a Teams meeting is launched, since I am not part of this company, the meeting is laborious, the interface is not as nice as Zoom's, sharing documents is more difficult, etc., etc. Zoom is superior to Teams in every way!!!
Genesys provides Licensing in 3 tier subscription types of licenses on top based on any business requirements then any sort of feature/functionality inclusion (or removal) is discussed openly. There are 2 types of billing models available which are "Named" and "Concurrent" based on the type of roles users will perform in Genesys Cloud CX environment (eg. Agent, Supervisor, Administrator, and Business Users) Also, the billing period/frequency starts on the actual day the platform is delivered.
The billing and price model is really fair for so many functions that they offer, our remote work requires each of the features that Zoom offers, so accepting payment for a tool like this is the least we can do. I like that billing arrives on time and that they offer opportunities and payment times.
I give Genesys a rating of 10 for scalability because of its ability to adapt seamlessly to growing business needs, whether expanding across multiple departments, locations, or regions. Its cloud-based infrastructure allows for easy scaling without the need for costly hardware upgrades or lengthy implementation times. As our organisation grew, we were able to add new agents, channels, and features without disrupting operations, which significantly enhanced our flexibility. The platform's design supports both small-scale and enterprise-level operations, making it ideal for evolving businesses. Additionally, its capacity to handle increased interaction volumes without compromising performance ensures that customer service quality remains high, even during peak times. This flexibility and ease of scaling, combined with real-time analytics and automation capabilities, make it highly effective for growing organisations.
Once everything is in place on the back end getting Webex on a user's PC is now very easy and with single sign-on, users are able to sign in without having to remember another password. Just make sure you have all the user settings in CUCM, CUC set right, and that they have the needed licenses in Webex Control Hub.
Because the Basic licenses are completely free, and because it's very easy to configure and install Zoom, and because anyone can join Zoom from a link without needing an account, scaling is a Breeze. There are absolutely no roadblocks. My company keeps adding more Zoom Pro license every week since it's so in demand. We were able to convert users from several different platforms onto Zoom with no trouble at all.
Professional services are definitely much more experienced than the support teams, and the price for their services is very fair. I wish that the support team could help answer simple questions about work that the PSS team does, however, so that we do not have to use our SOW for simple Q&A emails.
Zoom is perfect for our business. We use it to video chat with prospective clients. The name recognition alone gives us credibility and it is very easy to screen share and send content out.
For a product-based company like ours, we have existing Genesys customers who can use our product, as we have already integrated our product & solution into Genesys.
By viewing Genesys as a contact center, we generate numerous ideas about what features need to be implemented.
Genesys is the best choice for big, enterprise-level businesses as it can handle multiple calls simultaneously seamlessly.
Comfort in switching multiple OS platforms, when there is similar UI design.
HD video quality and HD screen share, make up presentations look more professional and standardized.
Less call/meeting drops as seen in other platforms applications.
Builds a level of trust, when we connect on Cisco's application platform with customers who are having their whole communication infrastructure shifted to Cisco Webex App.
We are still early in our adoption of Zoom Workplace for business, so we don't really have any data to show cost savings.
The ability to take a call summary or meeting summary and add it to our practice management system have been remarkable. It's a quick copy/paste and it's in the system. Prior to this, we would have to scan in notes and save them into the system, if it even got that far. Mostly, attorneys would be searching through legal pads for the notes of a previous meeting or phone call.
