Order to cash processes and scenario are implemented natively in IFS. An HR module exists for career management also (objectives, comportments, training, mobility) but may be improved in terms of workflow validation (e.g. training to validate by a manager) or reporting.

  • Being a part of Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement Apps and as it uses Power Platform, to fully leverage all the features and understand its capabilities, one has to know those related products and technologies also.
  • Field Service Mobile support is ending in June 2022, and transitioning to the new Field Service (Dynamics 365) [so that] is something the existing customers would have to plan [for].

In our organization, the IFS Applications is being used in most processes starting from Business Opportunity processes to Sales Order delivery processes where the IFS Applications helps us to raise procurement requests for SCM, Production schedules for the Shop Floor, Supplier invoicing, Customer Invoicing. Additionally, the Payroll process is completely automated where travel requests to employee attendance is being directly captured in ifs cloud.

Microsoft AX, QAD (in continuation of our previous ERP), Sage X3 was an out of the box ERP that was part of initial RFP. We have chosen IFS based on the compromise between costs & budget, functionality, technical features, and feedback from similar customers that gave their feedback. The project manager team and qualification level of technical or consultant teams were differentiating factors too. Finally IFS application was named in the Gartner’s mid-market ERP Magic Quadrant, along with SAP, and helped us to finalize our choice
