Chose Join.me (discontinued)
Again, join.me has many of the same issues the TeamViewer or Webex have, such as dropped connections, laggy, jitter, etc. These are expected with over the public internet/cloud services such as these. I think where Join.me is a step above is how easy it is to set up and get a …
Chose Join.me (discontinued)
I have used Join.me, DameWare and TeamViewer. Join.me has the least amount of hassle in regards to quick setup. Dameware often times fails and has to be installed manually. TeamViewer drops the connection often and requires you to start the whole process again.
Chose Join.me (discontinued)
Since Join.me is free, it's not really fair to compare to all paid products. However, since Join.me is free and IS comparable to pay for products, that speaks in and of itself. While the screen refresh is a little slow, and there are some extra clicks users have to do to permit …
Chose Join.me (discontinued)
Join.me beats its competitors on pricing, but beyond that its competitors have a much richer feature set.
Chose Join.me (discontinued)
Join.me is the easiest and quickest of all of the tools, but the least functional and efficient for long-term use. If an end user is unsure of providing unattended remote access, it remains as a top tool. Otherwise, once connected, installation and use of the other tools are …
Chose Join.me (discontinued)
Overall, it is generally more simple for users to start their own sessions with join.me than the other solutions. This is the primary reason we tend to use join.me over the others. However, we tend to use GoToMeeting when we are doing presentations or conference calls.
Chose Join.me (discontinued)
The features provided with Join.me are better as compared to its peers. Voice quality and seamless screen sharing is better, thus providing a good user experience in communication.
Pulseway
Chose Pulseway
I will admit, we started with Pulseway several years ago because we were able to start using it with a free account, which allowed us to install it on some in-house servers and gain experience with it. The other products we looked at all seem to require a considerable …
TeamViewer
Chose TeamViewer
Join.me and Webex allow for remote desktop sharing, but typically for meetings or instances. They do not offer the constant connection that teamviewer does. The user must be on the computer and type in the code provided by the remote user. The unlimited personal trial nature of …
Chose TeamViewer
After using WebEx, LogMeIn, and Join.me we went with TeamViewer since it had all the required features for all the users across all the business units in our division. TeamViewer not only had the best list of features, but it also had the easiest way to deploy it across all our …
Chose TeamViewer
Prior to buying TeamViewer we extensively reviewed a number of different platforms:
  • AnyDesk - this is a simpler remote access platform, but I found it to be too temperamental with the connection and more often than not I would have to go to the PC instead.
  • Join.me - in a similar …
Chose TeamViewer
In comparison, in terms of support TeamViewer is some distance ahead as it worked more reliably in terms of speed over the internet with less quirks occurring. I was also in most cases able to see administrative screens when prompted, which was an issue especially in Teams. Jo…
Chose TeamViewer
Horses for courses they say but all around, TeamViewer is the best software for remote management, period. Pulseway's remote desktop can work well on the phone app but on a desktop, it is often unreliable and drops connections. AnyDesk is not appropriate for our business and …
Chose TeamViewer
Pricing wise, the TeamViewer license is a lot more costly, but makes up for it in feature-richness and reliability. Pulseway has the benefit of having the possibility to keep an eye the IT infrastructure so you can catch things before they go wrong but our main focus was a …
Chose TeamViewer

Chose TeamViewer
I feel that TeamViewer's integration with clipboard and hotkeys works better than any other software in the market.
Chose TeamViewer
ConnectWise Control is much easier to use than TeamViewer. It is much easier to set up a "one-off" remote support session and much much much easier to set up a "permanent" remote support connection. ConnectWise also provides a lot more information about the computers …
Chose TeamViewer
All platforms and products are similar and each have their strengths and weaknesses so it is hard to generalize given that everyone's needs are different, but TeamViewer has proven to us to be not only versatile, easy to deploy and have a small foot print but also very secure …
Chose TeamViewer
TeamViewer, as currently used is probably the best of the applications I have used, right up there with Bomgar. With Bomgar, we are actually administrating, and we love the back-end features of Bomgar, i.e. I can access the remote servers\workstations on the back-end without …

The application works very well across all platforms - Windows, Windows Phone, Andriod, Linux, Mac, IOS. There is no doubt, that no matter the end users' OS or platform that we can confidently access their device for a quick and easy resolution. The TeamViewer application is …
Chose TeamViewer
For remote support purposes, we see TeamViewer as the top choice in term of features. Most important for us was that the tool would offer an easy, quick, and reliable, experience for the end user/customer. In honesty, LogMeIn is very similar and the choice between the two was …
Chose TeamViewer
We've used a lot of solutions -- mostly the free basic versions of the following:

I've evaluated and used gotoassist, join.me, logmein and other tools like ScreenConnect out there.

I would neither recommend nor dissuade anyone from using Join.Me. When it first came on the scene, it was a game-changer as far as providing remote access to other authorized individuals and helped save a great deal of time trying to walk someone less proficient through all the detailed steps of computer repair. However, with the proliferation of Zoom and other conferencing products that also provide built-in remote access through its service, the need for a separate application is now limited and not as essential as its own product.

If you have to manage a large number of computers, especially spread over multiple clients or a large physical area. This is one of the main products that allows us to act as a Managed Service Provider (MSP) and actually manage our clients devices and not just react to issues as clients call them in. Clients really love the proactive approach it allows us to take. Sadly as we became more familiar with options out there we found this area lacking and what was actually holding us back.

I think it works well for IT management and help desk support of end users. I find it very useful to help users and send files to their desktop. Remote Workers still run into some problems with MFA and updates, both to the TV Host app and OS updates. However, it does give us secure direct access without the need of a VPN.

Pros
Discontinued Products
  • No need to download anything to get started. Once you sign up you can get started from within your browser. This is probably the single best feature, its a get up and go solution for video conferencing and you do not need any software for it to work.
  • The one click join a meeting URL is genius. Users who struggle with remembering passwords or invites can just click a link and immediately participate in a meeting which means one email and a couple of clicks and a meeting can start.
  • Good control features - As the main user, you have many control features including deciding who can speak, annotations, screen sharing easily.
  • Screen Recordings to the Cloud - This can save on time when you have had a long conference, you can save a recording to the cloud and download it later.

  • It monitors computers and notifies us of any issues with any computer.
  • It allows remote control of computers, such as requesting a computer to reboot itself.
  • It is very highly configurable to monitor exactly what we need to monitor. For example, on server, we can have it notify us any time the server is shutdown or rebooted. On the other hand, for a desktop computer, we don't have to be bothered with notifications when a user decides to reboot his computer.

Cons
Discontinued Products
  • There should be a complete guide to understand its features before installation because if one feature will be missed then, we can’t get them working properly.
  • Furthermore, there should be high-quality internet for getting its function and it won’t work without good network coverage.
  • I think its interface is a little hard for beginners and is not that user friendly.

  • It would be nice if they increased their scope of supported third-party apps.
  • It would be great if they would create an ios app for their ticket system.
  • If they could possibly build in a location service for tracking devices, that would be helpful.
  • If they had two-factor authentication, it would be nice.

  • With an iPad, you can't take control of the device, so you have to tell someone what to do. Which can be a challenge because the end user doesn't know what to do
  • With the free version of TeamViewer you cant enter Admin credentials because TeamViewer blocks the windows to fill in the credentials
  • The free version can be really limited which can be putting off people because they don't see the full potential of TeamViewer

Join.me is one of the easiest programs I've ever used. It's so easy to get it set up and installed and even easier for someone to join a meeting. The controls are very intuitive and labeled appropriately. The UIX makes sense. It's been a reliable product in my app stack-I love it!

The tool is easy to use however it is can be daunting with the amount of features available in it. Last I checked, their knowledge base was not very expansive and they relied a lot on the changelog for how to do some stuff. This can make it hard to learn how to do some more advanced things like the automation.

TeamViewer installation and deployment to other devices is pretty straightforward and does not require much technical know-how. This makes ease of use attractive when supporting both new and existing clients with limited technical knowledge. I think ease of use is a huge factor in getting new clients.
