What is AxisCare Home Care Software?

AxisCare is an enterprise-level web-based home care scheduling and management platform designed for Personal Care home care agencies in all 50 states and 7 different countries that provides unlimited training and support.


AxisCare offers employee scheduling, a GPS Mobile App, automatic invoicing, medication reminders, hospitalization tracking and metrics, custom forms and reports, payroll and billing integrations, EVV capabilities, Veterans Affairs Billing, payment processing with next-day funding, and visit insights. Built-in marketing and CRM features allow users to track revenue by referral source, analyze advertising methods, select the best advertisement methodology, and convert leads into active clients. Tracking connections and relationships allows agencies to manage marketing efforts and offer a better return on investment.


The software can be used to schedule visits with caregivers and clients, and provide real-time alerts to office staff, notifying them of late clock-ins. And users can track where visit activities take place and restrict clock-in location using geofence and GPS capabilities, ensuring that caregivers clock in and out honestly and conveniently. Caregivers can use AxisCare Mobile to record ALDs and care notes, chat in real-time with office staff, e-sign for visits, track mileage, and expenses, even if they are offline.


AxisCare integrates with partners for things like payroll and billing (Quickbooks + Quickbooks Online), federal tax credits (Rockerbox), client and caregiver satisfaction (Home Care Pulse), background checks (Allied Screening), caregiver training (CareAcademy), among others. AxisCare offers free video tutorials and customer support to help their clients get up and running on their custom site as quickly as possible.

I have worked with many companies and used a variety of platforms, but AxisCare is by far the most user-friendly and well organized. It is easy to navigate and search for the information I need. Pulling reports is a breeze!

We use AxisCare for tracking EVV, schedules, Clients, Caregivers and billing. This helps us keep track of employees so I’m able to run payroll properly.

We utilize AxisCare primarily for our scheduling needs, but are also able to manage other aspects of our home care services. We create schedules for our clients and caregivers, keep track of their profiles, run EVV reports, as well as manage our billing & payroll reports. AxisCare is very user friendly and allows us to manage over 80 clients and caregivers!

A specific scenario in which AxisCare has been useful is when our team is trying to see which caregivers are available. We love that it shows which caregivers are available and which have conflicts when we have an unassigned shift for the day. We can also utilize the open visit feature when we have various caregivers available and we give them the ability to accept the shift. There hasn't been a specific scenario in which AxisCare hasn't been appropriate for our business.

I use AxisCare 90% of time during office hours. It helps me with scheduling, billing, payroll, as well as the built in messaging system. The Mobile App for managers help tremendously when on away from desktop

  • Please add features that allow block days (for clients) that don't require service on a particular day(s)... similar to availability blocks for staff profile
  • Please do not remove the old Billing/Payroll reporting
  • Please add more range of days on (or add custom range) to Date Options under Real Time view under Scheduling
  • Please add a feature where an automated message to all staff that are messaging after hours/weekends/holidays to our organization and its proxies. For example, when a staff calls in sick on a Saturday shift, the AxisCare messaging should prompt a message stating, "Caring Touch Home Health Care Inc. is open Mon-Fri from 9AM - 5PM, and closed on Statutory Holidays. If you're messaging due to emergency sick call or running late, and/or medical emergencies pertaining to an existing client, please call xxx-xxx-xxxx and leave a detailed message, AxisCare messaging does not immediately notify CTHHC managers afterhours."
AxisCare is well-suited with coordinating staff on the daily. However, from time to time, staff messages AxisCare Messaging for emergency calls. Our Organization policy states that all staff must call the office (leave a message if prompted) regarding sick calls, late arrivals to clients, etc especially, after hours and Holidays...

We use AxisCare Home Care Software for all of our scheduling, billing and payroll. We are now integrating our WOTC and background checks into AxisCare Home Care Software. We have the mobile app for both admin and staff. Sometimes there are major glitches but support is very helpful.

We utilize AxisCare for recording daily work activity, notes on supports provided, ADLs, mileage, odometer readings, bimonthly billing, payroll data, Oregon EVV reporting, monthly reports, and quarterly reports.

  • Miles reported should also collect odometer readings to support tax free mileage records to the IRS
  • Oregon EVV reporting includes hours only but does not include mileage. The EVV billing reports should also include miles. I have to create a partial custom report, save as CSV, and manually edit that file for EVV miles reporting. This is unwanted wasted labor for a report that should be included in AxisCare.
  • Daily miles expended should show the caregiver a running total for the month of miles used with the maximum allowed.
  • Reports should be available that compare monthly hours and miles maximums to the amount used by client and by caregiver.
  • The standard web font used does not distinguish between O and 0 or 1 and l well. An option to display mixed data in a monspaced font that better distinguishes these items would be a nice option.
AxisCare organizes clock-in and clock-out events well for caregivers with nice options for ADLs and daily notes. Caregivers appreciate the simplicity of the mobile application. The support of Oregon EVV data reporting is partially complete but does require some manual data processing. A large number of pre-configured reports are available and the option to create custom reports from available data is well designed. The cloud based approach for data collection, storage, and reporting is thoughtfully designed and in our experience uptime for this system has been excellent. Phone (and other support options) are available but sometimes issues need several follow up calls for resolution.

Actually AxisCare is user friendly and very easy to access I just loved to use it. It mainly helpful in transmitting data for billing purpose. Our scope is to track all the visits for the clients and hours worked for caregivers. And adding noa hours into billing option supports to check the visits are allocated as per noa hours. And Cons I think there is no option to delete inactive clients or caregivers. Thank you

We utilize AxisCare Home Care Software for everyday of the business. We use the application, onboarding, screening, scheduing, HR, billing. We could not do business without AxisCare Home Care Software and have they been wonderful to work with. Customer service is awesome and the service after the sale is what sets them apart. High recommend.

  • there has to be improvements in the referral, leads, CRM type portal. I feel this is a threat in the industry to AxisCare Home Care Software bc that portion is so very weak and outdated,
Exceptional scheduling, reporting and simplicity. Definitely needs improvement with the marketing tab. High recommend for everything home care wise other than payroll and marketing tab. The payroll service and the marketing tab is nowhere even close to a reflection of the rest of the AxisCare Home Care Software system. Those items are severely lacking.

We use it to schedule our caregivers for their shifts with members and for them to log in and out of. That part of it is working well. We are new to AxisCare Home Care Software and so trying to get it set up for reporting and exporting for Payroll purposes has been a challenge, but we are working through it.

I think the scheduling and clocking in and out portion is great! The care notes can be left there along with all the billing info.
