The one thing I miss about WellSky is the Activity portion where ongoing notes can be kept in one area and the tasking was much easier. I would love to see AxisCare Home Care Software be able to assign more than one person on the same task
AxisCare organizes clock-in and clock-out events well for caregivers with nice options for ADLs and daily notes. Caregivers appreciate the simplicity of the mobile application. The support of Oregon EVV data reporting is partially complete but does require some manual data processing. A large number of pre-configured reports are available and the option to create custom reports from available data is well designed. The cloud based approach for data collection, storage, and reporting is thoughtfully designed and in our experience uptime for this system has been excellent. Phone (and other support options) are available but sometimes issues need several follow up calls for resolution.
I think Kinnser Home Health is wonderful for all small, medium and large size agencies because you can't get any better from an employee perspective, and that is paramount to home health. I also love that you can go between Home Health and Hospice if you have both divisions in one system easily (a toggle button at the top of the screen). I think the financial management system is challenging when you are a large agency, but I still don't think there is anything better on the market, and I would highly recommend it to anyone
Please add features that allow block days (for clients) that don't require service on a particular day(s)... similar to availability blocks for staff profile
Please do not remove the old Billing/Payroll reporting
Please add more range of days on (or add custom range) to Date Options under Real Time view under Scheduling
Please add a feature where an automated message to all staff that are messaging after hours/weekends/holidays to our organization and its proxies. For example, when a staff calls in sick on a Saturday shift, the AxisCare messaging should prompt a message stating, "Caring Touch Home Health Care Inc. is open Mon-Fri from 9AM - 5PM, and closed on Statutory Holidays. If you're messaging due to emergency sick call or running late, and/or medical emergencies pertaining to an existing client, please call xxx-xxx-xxxx and leave a detailed message, AxisCare messaging does not immediately notify CTHHC managers afterhours."
The one thing that I feel the home health software could improve is its billing manager. While it submits the claims easily, if there are rejections, or problems, you have to work those through a different software (we use Ability EASE), or through DDE. They have come out with an Billing Manager 2.0 that one can upgrade to, but it has glitches as well, and so I feel that a new version still needs to be released soon. Its accounting is never exact, due to ADRs, and RAPs that have to be cancelled, but then eventually pay; scenarios that are uncommon but do happen. Therefore, I have to reconcile separately, which can be time consuming. Posting insurance payments can be tricky as well with unusual scenarios as well, such as Medicare Secondary Payments. They continue to make improvements, and I'm waiting for thebilling manager to improve. That being said, it is still much better than other softwares I have worked in.
I wish you could not delete a Face to Face and then bill -- there should be a block of some kind that prevents this from happening. The software won't let you bill without a Face to Face being completed, but then if it gets deleted (by accident) it doesn't let anyone know.
We had no issues with the availability of the system, it has been reliable so far, the only issues were geo location at some point due to staff being in rural areas, geo location will fail to pick up.
It's very good. For complex upgrades that I request, they don't obviously get to them immediately, but for all technical issues or training issues they are 100% on target
The training was easy to implement and understand. We had no issues completing all the training offered by the Axis staff. They were all very knowledgeable about the product and walked us through every step until the go-live day. We did the hand-holding until the end, our staff was very pleased with the patience of our trainers and thankful for their understanding, helping to be sure we were well-trained and ready for our go-live date. We are grateful. Thanks again to the trainers.
I would give this training a high rating because it was thorough and easy to understand. The trainers were detailed and very helpful throughout the transition process. They promptly addressed any concerns or issues, making it simple to set up the new Axis system and app. The support received when we encountered minor issues was excellent as well; they worked with us until everything was functioning properly. Overall, the experience was smooth and effective, leading to a successful implementation of the system.
I used to use general software like Excel and Microsoft and the scheduling application. What was good was I created it so I knew exactly how to use it. However, AxisCare Home Care Software has everything all in one place with details that I can’t do with a simple software
Our team has used Health Care First, Home Care Home Base, McKesson, and proprietary software, none of which have been able to compare to the benefits of Kinnser. Kinnser is the leader among them all. HealthCare First was terrible for multiple reasons, the most critical being user frustration in the field, and the back-office. It only worked on Internet Explorer, and certain settings had to be modified in order for it to work. Even when everything was done correctly, it still gave our field staff and office staff problems daily. It was cumbersome to schedule, and difficult to manage patients in the software. Even entering an order was complicated. Compared to Home Care Home Base, again, Kinnser is so much easier to use in the field, and in the office. I selected Kinnser for my employees to have something easy to chart in, but have been so happy with all the multiple additional benefits from having the leader in the industry as my software company
AxisCare data is critical to our company profitability, growth, and efficiency. The ability to utilize data effectively provides us with the means to grow and expand responsibly.
Our projections for business growth suggest we will double our new client setup labor (AxisCare setup) for the same amount of profit stream. Only with the efficiency of AxisCare will it be possible to support the added labor required for this effort.
End of month reports, quarterly reports, progress notes, and billing data are supported well by AxisCare. These items could be streamlined to further reduce our data processing labor.
AxisCare is missing client associated protocol plans and other risk assessment documents. These should be available to the client and caregiver as associated with the needs of that client.
