It provides users navigable dashboards, drill-downs through data hyperlinking, formulas built away from the user interface, and automatic consolidation. With unlimited users, all team members can access their data, analyze variances, and budget both top-down and bottom-up in a single platform, with secure user permissions to ensure sensitive information is always secure and hidden.

We use Quickbooks for our accounting software, where we pay per user. Budgets were cumbersome because they were built within multiple spreadsheets, all of which fed into a master sheet. Formulas would get deleted, and trying to share the information with our finance committee and board was tedious. Budgyt allows access to anyone we give access to create budgets within their department, view monthly financial info, and forecast upcoming months. No more formatting monthly reports for each department!

  • Tracking item codes from Quickbooks is tedious, so we stopped reporting by item codes in Budgyt due to the extra work

Budgyt is well suited for any organization that has a need for multiple users to access financials, budgets, and forecasting.

  • Budgyt allows all of our budget managers to have control and effectively create and oversee their budget areas.
Once acclimated with the platform, it is easy to create the view you would like to see to compare budget to actuals or year over year. Being able to click on a link to see detail for each category, change a department with the dropdown, and swiftly upload data makes the process simple for all users.
We have multiple GL codes, cost centers and classes and switching back and forth within the platform is a very simple task.
We would not want our 37 users to have access to QuickBooks as that would be costly and the time it would take to create specific access for the majority would be time consuming. Training would also be difficult. Additionally, QuickBooks does not allow you to build a budget with details as Budgyt does. The details in Budgyt provide our Finance Committee and Board to see what each line is actually comprised of and gives them the ability to make better decisions.

Our organization uses the Budgyt Software in order to create a yearly budget that has 50 plus accounts to monitor throughout the year. The product has assisted me with being able to create a budget with ease as our company was using an outdated excel spreadsheet that was not user friendly.

Budgyt has been a lifesaver for our organization! The software is very user friendly when it comes to creating several scenarios for budgets and forecasts. It has eliminated the struggles of maintaining an excel spreadsheet that was not user friendly. The software is well suited for anyone that is looking for a user-friendly platform that is easy to learn, provides standard and customization options for providing visualizations to use for presentations. I have also enjoyed the training that Budgyt provides in a recording format and stores in your "library" to review at your leisure.

I use Budgyt to summarize 22 different service programs for our agency. Program personnel constantly changes and cost fluctuation needs to be controlled, projections need to be standardized. I use the platform to reflect these changes and analyze scenarios. Budgyt made this possible for me. Their customer service was very helpful in implementing the new software. Budgyt has an upload feature and I can use it with our accounting software.

Budgyt provides a transparent overview of finance results in a quickly changing environment. The platform is flexible for me to include additional programs. We use Crystal reports. We uploaded data to Budgyt and created scenario budgets. The next step was for me to download the budget, but the file didn't have all the data files my accounting software needed. Budgyt's programming team custom-created the download report for me, and I was able to upload my budget data into my accounting system. This was done in a timely manner.

The organisation had a very finance-led budgeting process last year, and we wanted to find a simple way to establish a process by which budget-holders were more engaged and owning of their budgets, in the most efficient way. Budgyt looked like, and turned out to be a great fit. The access control enables us to provide visibility to a budget-holder of just what they need to see, and so keeps their experience uncomplicated.

As a nonprofit, I have 6 business managers who provide variance reports in Budgyt. We use Quickbooks and then export actual data to Budgyt, which houses our annual budget. The budgets are created by each manager and they are held to any variances. They then use these variances as one of their tools in setting the next year's budget...

For a nonprofit with a budget or $3-$4M, it is perfect and I cannot imagine where it would not fit in. They have talked about a lot of additions that I believe will make this the perfect tool for any company, but for me, it is perfect--well, almost perfect!
  • Other than the time factor for all managers and for myself, we have not seen additional ROI from it. But time is hugely valuable to us as a nonprofit with limited staff.
