Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We are using it to share everything, all our internal sites are hosted via SharePoint. Basically, from onboarding to the latest news, to the stock market, everything internal is updated via SharePoint.

Pros and Cons

Integration with Office.
Easy to launch.
Support of Microsoft.

Complicated
Sometimes very slow

Alternatives Considered

I have heard that the one that comes close is a tool called Apex. Some of the leading companies are using it instead of SQL.

If you are a solo business owner I believe it just makes sense to start up an MS Sharepoint since you can easily find tutorials on the internet. In about 2 hours you can get a basic site up and ready to roll.
