Overall Satisfaction with Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT

I use FE NXT for posting journal entries into ledger, extract information using the reporting function and also update fixed asset details
  • In Journal entry, love the ability to search for entries using a few key words or the JE number itself. Also love the ability to attach documents easily
  • In reporting, love he ability to search for entries using a few key words
  • In fixed asset module, love he ability to search for assets directly using the assset number
  • In JE, would like thge ability to add lines at specific locations and not at the end of JE. Also like to be able to copy selected JEs easily.
  • No Query function in NXT, that is a problem for us
  • Cannot add Defined depreciation in calculationdepreciation
  • Certain reporting functions have improved our process efficiency
  • Ability to download report into Excel in different formats is very helpful. The reports come out looking better formatted than in database view
The reporting function provides more accurate and faster access to information needed to check on controls. Reports are formatted in better format and the ability to download in different EXCEL presentations are very helpful. Faster retrieval in JEs and extraction of details for reports make it easier to check on controls
I don't use the reports for organization's spending and financial performance. I believe my Director perform that function.

Yes

Great for GL functions such as easy creation of JE, include attachments and versatile reporting The organization of reports into various categories are not as nicely display like in database view. Looks rather messy and disorganized. JE does not allow insertion of new lines at specific locations but rather at the end of JE. Also does not have copy function.
