Overall Satisfaction with Ceridian Dayforce

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Dayforce HCM is currently being used for one business unit and will be expanded to the whole company.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Fairly intuitive user interface
Mobile-friendly
Excellent WFM

Cons

The HTML migration is difficult- we are stuck using 2 browsers until all screens are ready (our company uses IE primarily and key admin screens are still Silverlight dependent even if users switch to Chrome; Firefox is not an available option).
It would be helpful to have a quick reference for the layout of materials in the Support Portal - so that new users could understand quickly where to find relevant documents. Ceridian offers robust documentation, which is a plus. After a year, however I’m still finding myself spending a lot of time searching for what I’m looking for.

Using Dayforce for Compliance

We are not yet using the system for compliance reporting.

Impact on Decision Making

Not applicable yet, however I really like how much visibility People-Managers can be provided to employees in their reporting structure.

Alternatives Considered

It is far easier to troubleshoot, audit, and report on employee data.

Dayforce is excellent for tracking time for hourly workers - something my company struggles with in our current system. Self-service options are also very easy for users, and the ability to access the system with a mobile app is a strength. Finally, between XOXO, Dayforce Live Education Center, and the Support Portal there is plenty of documentation and training for admin users, this is also a strength and a big help when new users start learning the system.
