Overall Satisfaction with Encompass from Ellie Mae
Encompass is our Mortgage Loan Origination System (LOS). We use it exclusively throughout the entire life of the loan; from loan origination to processing to funding and operations. Encompass streamlines much of the process and allows integration with many other platforms. It's truly an "all in one" solution. There are many ways it can be customized (most customizations are easy, but you can also make them as complicated as you want) to fit the needs of almost any of your mortgage lending needs.
Pros
- All in one solution!
- Easy to customize to your workflow and business needs!
- Widely known in the industry; compatible with most lenders and systems.
- Ellie Mae is very innovative; always listening to their consumers/users and implementing the ideas that make sense.
Cons
- Can sometimes run slow (NOT a frequent occurrence for us).
- The system is so customizable that you can get yourself in trouble if you don't pay attention.
- We have increased our efficiency/turn times and decreased costs.
- We have also increased our loan quality!
We have looked at other LOS systems and actually went so far as to test them... At that point we realized just how awesome Encompass really is! We have searched far and wide; so far we have not found any LOS system that remotely comes close to the performance, customization, support and intergration of Encompass!
