As I always say, if you are looking for a stable environment so I always recommend going with IBM AIx because so far it's fruitful for me. Always utilization under control in some cases like peak hours you can see a little bit but no need to worry for that if anything comes you can easily add resource dynamically.
Whenever new commissioning of server happening in the environment vulnerabilities can be avoided by keeping a couple of things mind as well as execution of same, like make sure to upgrade the firmware level of the machine along with adapter microcode level upgrade, and if new lpar update it to make it latest tl level. You will see better performance.
IBM servers are being managed via Hardware Management Console or IVM or Power VC, so here is already a single platform where we used to connect regarding the management of server as we as to perform the other changes which we used to do in BAU related activities, apart from this there are some other options too which we can adopt.
With AIx I am having 10 years of experience and can say that it's one of the best-operating systems so far for me to run prod systems that are too critical to users and companies. Some of the examples are as Best OS to run SAP kind of ERPs Powerful Performance with Oracle and other Databases.
