Overall Satisfaction with Kendo UI
We started using Kendo as part of a major re-design of operational and client applications. We were careful to choose the components that would provide the most benefits to our overall design and would speed up the development process
Pros
- The Kendo grid has advanced and extensible features such as paging and inline editing.
- We use panels to easily display hierarchical data that helped with our our SPA design.
- We implemented field validation using Kendo tool tips.
- Kendo UI includes a wide range of components that are thoughtfully designed and continually improved upon.
Cons
- More component usage examples would be appreciated.
- We believe that the ROI from using Kendo UI has been positive.
- Using Kendo had a training impact, but it was manageable.
- Angular and Infragistics
We considered using Angular (1) but were not able to commit the time necessary to re-write our applications.
Infragistics was also considered, but expense vs features vs ease-of-use lead us to Kendo.
