Overall Satisfaction with LANDesk Management Suite

We use it for device access (remote control), inventory and patch management across all of our customers. Our entire organization uses it in some way. It allows us to quickly manage several thousand computers, laptops and servers across the U.S.
  • Remote control is quick, efficient and easy to use.
  • Inventory of devices is great. You can query this data and report on it easily and quickly.
  • Security patch management is easy to manage with LDMS.
  • Their support needs improvement. Their front line support isn't always the most knowledgeable.
  • Overall a positive ROI, again allows us to quickly manage several thousand remote devices. We don't have time to use an unstable program for this.
LANDesk Management Suite provides many more built in tools so you can do more in one package.
It's better suited when you want to integrate many facets of device management into one software package.

Using LANDesk Management Suite

18 - We use LANDesk Management Suite primarily for Remote Control, Inventory and Security/Patch Management.
5 - From a console point of view, it's fairly simple to setup and manage. After an initial core install or upgrade (which you just next through for the most part), service updates are just as easy. Agent installation is a little more tricky at times if you have AV with Landesk but still not that difficult. You need to know the methods of deployment, how to fix and what support options you have with Landesk if/when you have issues. Overall minimal management time needed.

Landesk Management Suite is an important part of our business. It's a useful tool that does what we need it to do on a daily basis. Landesk support is also improving which is nice to see. Overall the product continues to get better and I recommend it to anyone needing a package with such features.
