Overall Satisfaction with Mailchimp
We use mailchimp for our own email marketing as well as for client campaigns. We have lists integrated into our contact and signup forms, so it's easy to keep everything up to date.
- WYSIWYG editor makes creating templates quick and painless, even for the most inexperienced user.
- Setting up the campaign details such as sender, from name, pre-header, etc., are super simple.
- Great reporting and list maintenance.
- It would be great to have an intelligent HTML editor, for experienced HTML gurus. Something akin to litmus or Email on Acid.
- Mobile app should have campaign editing capabilities. It does well to provide reports, but I would really like the ability to fix a typo or change some content, and launch the campaigns from mobile.
- With mailchimp we can add a high value service for very little overhead cost. It provides a great ROI for our team and our clients.
- Constant Contact, Emma and Mad Mimi
Emma might be better if you need personal account management, custom made emails, etc. Mailchimp works great for a DIY team or project with less complex needs. Not a fan of Mad Mimi.
For the most part, we are utilizing MailChimp solely for email marketing and reporting purposes.
A recent custom integration with a healthcare CRM was a big step forward for one of our clients. We continue to learn the value of segmenting our audiences.

Product features and usability were our driving factors. We didn't want email to be a time consuming task, and needed to keep a platform that our clients could eventually manage as well.
