Nintex Workflow for Sharepoint
Overall Satisfaction with Nintex Platform
Nintex platform is being used to automate complex workflows with multiple stages and many participants. Nintex offers flexibility and a feature set which is adequate for most workflows and for any complex use cases the user-defined actions framework is extremely useful. We had evaluated multiple platforms and Nintex is our primary pick unless we are using an expert system for specific operations.
Pros
- Flexibility
- User-defined actions
- Analytics
- Easy to learn
- Prompt vendor support
Cons
- Nothing specific
- Mostly architects shall guide to avoid mistakes
- Facilitates audits & optimizations.
- Measurable performance and areas of improvements.
- Employee satisfaction with digital experience.
We use SharePoint in on-prem environments and are planning to use it in SharePoint Online and Azure environments.
Non-IT staff are actors on Nintex workflows but all workflows are designed and deployed by IS.
Generally, Nintex offers richer features and better UX but in some cases, expert systems bring value in terms of starting off with an industry standard baseline and in some other cases SAAS services mandate us to use built-in workflows.
