Nintex Workflow for Office365
Overall Satisfaction with Nintex Platform
We tried Nintex forms to digitize a form we usually fill out on paper and do it directly in Excel instead. Our earlier methods were cumbersome and led to errors. Nintex was nice because it integrated right into our O365 services and used SharePoint which we already had access to and control over. This was just for one department but could expand to others if the solution ended up being solid.
- Nintex works very well with Microsoft products and services.
- The interfaces and form building tools are pretty thorough and easy to use.
- The support staff was very helpful when needed for assistance or questions.
- There are limitations on what the form can do. Example: you cannot put images or signatures inline on the mobile form.
- You cannot customize the form look and feel past what is offered.
- Had technical issues with connecting the mobile app to the SharePoint instance.
- Had to keep extending the trial of the product while working through issues. Why not just keep it open longer and check back later? It was annoying to keep asking if they would extend trial since I hadn't had the chance to even use the product yet due to initial issues.
- The time spent checking into this product was valuable. Although we did not go with it, we did see some possibilities for SharePoint use in the future.
- We got exposure to the product for possible uses elsewhere in the company.
- We met national and local vendors during our research and wouldn't mind working with them again at some later date.
The target users for our mobile form application were mostly in the field and sometimes in the office. It was crucial that they be able to access the form via tablet and laptop as needed. Forms needed to be able to be saved as a draft and came back to later. While Nintex is very versatile, it just did not meet our exact needs in the end.
Our IT staff were the ones setting this up and getting everything in place. Our standard users were the ones to use this in the field and at their desks during the day. Once set up and optimized for our way of doing things, the platform and forms were pretty easy to use and navigate in my opinion.
In the past, we tried ProntoForms and liked it. The form builder and mobile app were much nicer than Nintex, but we ran into the same problem eventually where we just could not get the format set up the exact way we needed it. As we are trying to match a preexisting document layout, we find that the form builder simply can or cannot match it.
