Overall Satisfaction with Oracle Analytics Server (formerly Oracle BI Foundation Suite)

I am helping customers in my organization implement Oracle BI Foundation Suite. It helps customers integrate their online application with the Oracle BI tool to help them understand how their business is performing and helps identify the gaps or advance the features of business to grow their business lines. It is used by specific departments. It helps businesses to resolve their accounting and marketing applications.
  • It helps integrate with online applications and provide the complete data warehouse solution.
  • It provides features of adhoc and customized reporting.
  • It has strong visual features to help business needs and supporting integration with different tools like Microsoft Office etc.
  • It is easy to learn by business user to create their own adhoc reports.
  • It should help migration BI solution using other tools with in itself rather creation from start as solution.
  • It should have some feature of in memory data capture for slicing and dicing of data
Majority of businesses are running their business with Oracle dB and Oracle BI works very efficiently with Oracle dB. Also it provides suppoprt from Oracle in case of any bug and issues with the tool.
Since I am not using directly, helping my customer to use Oracle BI suite. Not correct to state any rating for it.
It should have answer from its infrastructure needs, to installation, to implement existing application or new application, easy to use and help business to design their requirements.

Using Oracle Analytics Server (formerly Oracle BI Foundation Suite)

5000 - People belongs to every business functions like GL, AP, AR, EE and Procurement teams. Beyond the functional team, application used by support team and support management teams to make decision towards enhancement of application functionally and environment wise. Application also accessed by manager across the business lines to evaluate business progress.
10 - Individuals have knowledge on
a. technical architect,
b. application/bi admins and DBAs,
c. Infrastructure specialists,
d. Developers and
e. Application support resources.
  • Helpful to assess business processes and business functions. Also helpful take decision for improvements. Window to business processes/functions!
  • Helpful to ease the work to gather required information easily and quickly in required format. Lot of time saving!
  • Make more analytic and on-line to assess immediate data into application. To check feedback on new product launch!
  • Easy to use across different business lines!
  • Immediate access of data in required format with analytics around it.
  • Warehouse to keep data and analyse it for improvement of business and handle customer requirements.
