Overall Satisfaction with Podbean

We use it to upload sermons as a weekly podcast. We also make use of the Podbean WordPress plugin to auto-post each podcast/sermon to our church website. We typically only post one podcast per week, but we do so every single week. Our listener-ship is pretty low, less than 100 listeners per week, but we're consistent.
  • Easy to use
  • Reliable audio hosting
  • Good integration with our WordPress website
  • The UI looks a bit dated
  • The plugin we use for WordPress was broken for years and we had to manually post, but they've fixed it recently.
  • Cost
  • Reliability
  • Ease of use
  • Great ROI because we don't have to use another service or change our process for posting
  • The only negative impact was on my time when I had to manually post when the WordPress plugin was broken.
  • We have things automated now, so it's a great positive impact
We looked at hosting it entirely ourselves on our website, but the hosting space adds up and Podbean is purpose-built for this purpose. It's reliable and fits our needs much better than hosting via our website. Podbean also fits better into our workflow, since the website administration isn't handled by the same person as the podcast.

Do you think Podbean delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Podbean's feature set?

Yes

Did Podbean live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Podbean go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Podbean again?

Yes

Works great and is cost-effective for smaller podcasts, like our church sermons. I can't speak to larger, high-listener podcasts, but for our small-scale use case, it is perfect. We primarily use it for hosting, as we auto-post to our website, so we don't direct our listeners to the Podbean website.
