Overall Satisfaction with QAD

QAD is being used as the ERP for supporting our Vascular Therapies division within the organization.
We use it extensively right from Order-To-Cash, Procure-to-pay, Plan-to-Build
The strong points about QAD is it is easy to manage, reliable, offers good transaction traceability, has a good compliance model.
  • Easy to manage/configure
  • Reliable
  • Offers good transaction traceability
  • Has a good compliance model
  • Interfaces well with other apps
  • Needs more flexibility to add/configure new indexes (if using the Progress Database) as the current indexes on key tables like transaction history are not helpful
  • Need a better support system for the TMS/Precision interface
  • Need better KnowledgeBase articles to understand the innerds of Pricing functionality
  • Improved Employee Efficiency
  • Better Customer Service
  • Better Financial reportings for a quick Month-End/Year-End close
JDEdwards and now venturing into SAP
Suited very well for small to medium sized organizations as it provides you everything you can expect from an ERP (without any fancy bells and whistles that SAP and some of the other ERPs provide).
Works well with a lean IT organization, as the configuration and ongoing maintenance and/or analysis is pretty straightforward.
