Overall Satisfaction with Salesforce.com
Salesforce.com is the most important tool in running our business. Every department across the organization uses this tool and logs in every day. It supports our sales team, our delivery team (managing projects, tracking hours), our marketing team (integrating with MA tools, tracking leads), and our finance/operations team (staffing projects, forecasting etc). Without Salesforce we wouldn't be able to close business or support our current clients.
Pros
- Allows senior executives to report on pipeline and project statuses.
- Allows consultants to manage projects and track their time
- Allows all resources to manage their progress at the organization using work.com
Cons
- Salesforce reporting is cumbersome though powerful
- Companies will likely need developers and a release team to make changes to the platform. May increase head count for new users.
- The UI is a bit dated.
- Increased lead conversation with an integration with an MA tool
- Increased retention with project status tracking
