Overall Satisfaction with SAP Master Data Governance

Certain data objects for the general ledger are managed in SAP Master Data Governance.
  • Allows for workflow approval of new data elements
  • Controls master data creation
  • Often doesn’t replicate across all instances and clients
  • It has been somewhat neutral. Whether it was who and how it was installed or the product itself, we are having to use consulting support to research and hopefully solve some of our issues.
Problems with workflow and replication.
I don’t think we have used the prebuilt content.
When adding new values to code block, it flows through SAP Master Data Governance.
We don’t use it for this.

If you add new values to your code block and want a formal review and approval process, SAP Master Data Governance is good for that. If you want your new master data replicated against all environments, it generally works for this.
