Great multi featured tool for your toolbox

We use SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor in the IT department to help us keep an eye on our network resources, from UPS to routers to servers and wireless radios. We monitor our VMware environment, server resources, VPN tunnels, battery levels and output. We have it send us alerts when things get out of whack, and weekly reports of outages. It's really a Swiss army knife of monitoring. It helps us be more proactive in dealing with issues, like disk space, CPU and memory spikes, failing power equipment or high loads, and network line issues. In addition to real time status, we can also check historical trends to help identify any issues.
