Overall Satisfaction with TIBCO Cloud Integration (including BusinessWorks and Scribe)

We used Scribe software (as the old naming) for one of our customers in order to manage the integration between SugarCRM and IBM Watson Campaign Automation (WCA). The integration is concerning contact, leads and account subscription.
  • Easy to implement and customize.
  • The solution is fully integrated between SugarCRM and WCA.
  • Fast and easy to debug.
  • The placement of the GUI interfaces can be confusing.
  • I'd rather have a split window screen (menu left and edit right) when editing a block property.
  • As a technician, I don't have a direct view of business objectives.
  • Full leads integration.
  • SugarCRM and IBM WCA.
2 - Senior Accountant, Technical sales and Senior Developer.
  • Product Reputation
  • Existing Relationship with the Vendor
The full integration between the two products we need to integrate: IBM WCA and SugarCRM
  • Configuration via the user interface.
  • In-person training
  • Self-taught
The introductory training covers boh the basics of Scribe as well as the potential of the software. It was really helpful and thorough

Usually we rely on custom integration software. Using a pre-built solution has been/is a benefit.
For me as a senior progammer, using an interface with little intervention with code is a real benefit
In my experience, I can't really face a scenario where the TIBCO product is inappropriate. Everything was working well even during stress tests and heavy loads (as number or frequency). The solution is perfect for our customers with a really small effort from a technical side.

Evaluating TIBCO Cloud Integration (including BusinessWorks and Scribe) and Competitors

Learnings and Advice

My integration experience is with a deeply customized instance of sugarCRM. That said I needed to develop lots of controls for custom fields even using some business logic in TIBCO integration for compiling the correct fields in the correct way moving data to IBM WCA.
Understanding the whole interface is really easy and almost "no brain". For every question or difficult point I suggest to use the support: very helpful
I had no contact with the TIBCO community
Running an integration can be frustrating sometimes. The log is very torough: use it while you are developing your application
I will probably look for the ease of use, the number of pre-built connectors and the ease to rapidly develop custom solutions

Using TIBCO Cloud Integration (including BusinessWorks and Scribe)

1 -
Technical knowledge of the products to integrate.
Development skills.
  • None at the moment
Since we depend from our customer's choice we can't really know if it's going to renew its license.
