Spotfire is useful for processing and visualising large datasets and picking out specific information with ease. It is very useful for the development process as we can analyse data much faster than with other tools such as Microsoft Excel. It is also easy to output data plots and summaries for displaying in technical reports.

No we have not used any of the integrations so far.
Traditionally we used the Microsoft packages, mainly Excel for data analysis. This is great for small simple datasets however when more complex analysis is required on larger datasets this becomes much more difficult, and the software struggles to handle it. TIBCO is much more suited to these sort of datasets and handles them with ease.

We used the selection of online tutorials which provided a large range of support to take you from a complete novice to a fairly competent user in logical steps. We also took advantage of the online support to help sort out queries we had as new users of the software.
