Vertex Review
Overall Satisfaction with Vertex
Vertex O is being used in all aspects of my organization. We use if for procurement, accounts payable, and sales. One problem with addresses is that we need to know to get the correct tax rates. Prior to when using Vertex Q Series, we always had issues with the wrong rates for jurisdictions with multiple rates.
Pros
- Runs the sales report very quickly.
- Adding a new exemption is much faster than Q Series.
- Vertex O allows custom work arounds.
Cons
- Creating a ticket with Vertex customer support is not easy.
- Monthly updates can be time-consuming.
- Too much functionality, need more specific training.
- Things are much more streamlined.
- Takes the decisions off the user's plate.
- Mapping issues with some product taxability categories.
- Product Features
The product features are fantastic. The ability to test transaction on the spot in lieu of customer service issues is great. A lot of times I need to test the rate or taxability for a particular customer, and the fact that I can do it on the spot while I have the customer on the phone is really helpful.
- Unexpected reports that can be utilized.
- Innovative in the updates.
- Easy to use.
Any time that we as a company needed any assistance with the implementation of this software or Vertex Technical Rep was always available to help out or to point us to the right person. Dawn Reagan was exceptional in her experience and availability to help and assistance when needed on the fly.
