Overall Satisfaction with WatchGuard Network Security
I support all facets of leveraging Watchguard solutions both internally as an IT security consultancy as well as clients looking for UTM solutions.
- The watchguard log viewer
- UTM services
- ability to create clear policies.
- Charging for MFA? In my opinion, this is a basic security requirement and you want to charge for it?
- In my experience, not so great VPN client solutions. No pre windows login unless using old shrew pro client. Again basic solutions other solutions offer that WG wants to charge for.
- NO FedRAMP authorized cloud solution. Again basic industry.
- I would say again that charging for basic parts of the solution such as mfa, sso and bad vpn client solutions make WatchGuard sometimes very irritating.
They were purchased through the vendor. Generally never need WatchGuard support. I've been working with and installing WatchGuard since 1999.
Yes keeps things simple.
Palo Alto sonciwall, fortinet, cisco. They offer better inclusive VPN clients and solutions and integration of MFA as the most BASIC security solution. Did I mention BASIC?
