Overall Satisfaction with Wishpond

As a busy businessowner I trusted Wishpond to run my SEO, Google and Meta advertising, and create/implement a marketing plan to grow my business. As part of this they were to create advertising campaigns, advise me on ways to increase traffic, and monitor and provide reporting on how these were going while suggesting tweaks to make them more efficient.
  • Wishpond has achieved a 0.06 ROAS in Google Adwords.
  • Wispond has lost me thousands of dollars in ad spend and 'management' of the campaigns.
  • Trying to deal with Wishpond has taken me away from doing the normal day-to-day activities.
  • There is no area that using Wishpond has not been incredibly negative, despite my trying to sort things out numerous times.
I have used small local adwords managers in the past, but thought that having data across all channels and a big company might be able to help. Boy, was I wrong. My old guy at half the price would meet with me each month, provide a 20-page report about what was performing and what wasn't, he would go through the tweaks to be made and how they should get a better ROAS, we would look at the data and see where to go. Wishpond has done none of this, despite the promise of details reporting and monthly checkups on how it's going and where to head next. Using a small local business I had replies, what I asked was done, and it was managed. Wishpond included words I requested not to be used due to them being irrelevant to my business, and then didn't tweak the campaigns or give me data despite spending over $1,400 to generate $80 in sales.

I would never recommend Wishpond to anyone. They provide a fancy marketing plan that is promptly ignored. You're far better off managing everything yourself as the things which are done are done against your instructions, or so badly it takes more time to fix them than just do them yourself. You'll have to ask for any reporting and when it is given it will be worthless as all campaigns are combined (across all advertising channels). You'll never be told what tweaks are made, keywords you specifically say not to use will be used, you won't be told how to check anything, and will have to chase up anything that is meant to be delivered. The first meeting was rescheduled, but I wasn't told, and things didn't improve from there. After 2 months I still had not received much and wasn't getting replies so had to take things up the chain. Things were then put in place, but no one ever checked if they solved anything. They didn't. One of my big problems is the only meeting times offered were between 3 and 4am my time. When the customer support person finally got in touch they also only offered between 3 and 4 am on a Sat morning. Nothing had been paid attention to at any stage. My manager's manager who is meant to solve problems has not replied to my emails from a week ago. The contract also auto renews, but there is no information on how to get out of it. I don't trust that the folks I have told I don't want to renew will pass that information on and will soon be looking into doing chargebacks on my card due to not being supplied with the services promised.

Wishpond Support

There is no support at Wishpond. I contacted my project manager's manager over a week ago without a reply. When I responded to the automated 'How is your experience' email saying how awful it was there was no follow-up. When I had trouble and had to escalate things it resulted in some new procedures being put in place that changed nothing and they never checked in to see if things were fixed.

Relationship with Wishpond

They were very responsive and helpful during the sales process. Charts of what they would do, big promises. Fancy reports made me feel comfortable that they would provide reporting during the contract in the same manner. The delightful sales lady was the whole reason I used the company. I wasn't planning to switch from my old provider, but she did such a great job that I gave them a chance.
The very first meeting was rescheduled, but I wasn't told. Since then almost nothing from the contract or agreed marketing plan has been completed, and the things that have been I've either had to chase up and were late (a full site SEO audit that has nothing not found on page speed insights) or were done so badly that they included the words I specifically said not to include, and then kept adding things without my authorization that created a ROAS of 0.06 without tweaking the campaign. Even when I was offered free months of advertising campaign management by Wishpond I would still have lost significant amounts of money, they are that bad at handling campaigns.
6 months of marketing management at $600 per month excluding ad spend. A marketing plan for the first 3 months was provided with a follow up meeting after that to plan the next three months. So far, five months in, most of the first plan has not been accomplished, and I have paused the campaigns as I'm better off just losing the monthly fee than keep losing so much money on the campaigns they started.
Don't go near them. Even when you have trouble and talk to superiors nothing will change and they won't follow up to make sure things are better. Don't trust their fancy sales folks.

From the quality of their work you can tell that everything is outsourced. Do it yourself, and pay them more. You'll save a fortune, the work will be done better, and you'll have some control.
