Overall Satisfaction with Zix Email Encryption (ZixEncrypt)
We use Zix to secure sensitive emails that contain customer information such as account numbers and other personally identifiable information. We are also required by policies and regulations to do this for certain transactions.
- Zix secures emails easily by simply adding the word 'secure' in the subject of an email and then sending it.
- Zix also automatically secures email that should be sent securely, for example a user sends an email with a social security number it and doesn't put 'secure' in the subject. Zix detects this and sends the email securely.
- Zix was easy to set up. We spent about 2 hours with their support team getting it up and running. It has been trouble free since then.
- An Outlook plug in to send secure emails might better help users send securely.
- Better support for OS level updates on the Zix virutal appliance is needed. While Zix releases periodic updates, I do not see OS level patches getting installed or addressed.
- Zix has had a positive impact by making it easier to secure outgoing emails.
- We like the ease of administration and troubleshooting with Zix. We have very few issues with the Zix service with our end users.
- Zix was adopted easily. The ease of use was beneficial to getting our end users to start using it immediately.
