It works great when you don't want to carry cash, or even carry credit cards. It is so simply to just whip out your phone, double click, and it opens with FaceID and is ready to use. In our case, we shop very often at a store across the street which accepts Apple Pay and so the payment portion is essentially a non-issue at this point, which is fantastic for us

I had a customer who wanted me to do his wife's birthday party. I sent him the estimate and he gave me a deposit from his Venmo account. When the party was done, he forgot to pay for a week. I reminded him with an invoice and he sent a deposit. It wasn't immediately deposited, but it [arrived the next day].

Cons
Apple
  • The ability for other integrations to still have their restricting permissions to be used. As an example, I can't use Apple Pay and still choose when I want my delivery because it's not in Apple Pay's coding to allow outside restrictions.

When I had my Android/Samsung phone, I tried Samsung's version of Apple Pay and it was terrible. It was very glitchy, and sometimes I would get a notification that I paid for something when I wasn't even in a checkout screen, like I was just browsing the internet or something and I'd get a notification! It was alarming and I quickly uninstalled the app and never used it again.

PayPal has more work items for businesses. It has invoicing, time tracking, and marketing strategies. I could [use] PayPal to run my business like I do with QuickBooks. Affiliates with other business is crazy. Plus, they also carry debit and credit cards for business and personal purposes. Venmo is the little brother [of PayPal].
