Chose BambooHR®
I did not select BambooHR, it was already in use and it works well for the size of the company so there is no reason to change it. Paylocity has better payroll functionality but is lacking on the HRIS side, so BambooHR and Paylocity are somewhat comparable. In my opinion, avoid …
In my experience, I prefer overall reporting and functionality of Rippling, Gusto, and Ease. It is on par with Employee Navigator and Paycom (due to more user friendly design) Prefer to Worklio, Paylocity, and ADP Workforce.
BambooHR® was able to provide excellent value for money when compared to the other options we looked at when we carried out a review of them. A previous member of the team had also used BambooHR® at another company and rated them highly which influenced our decision greatly. …
When reviewing which HRIS to go with, BambooHR came out on top for a few reasons. One was the cost compared to others and what you get for that cost. It saved the company money versus what we had, including Lever, ADP, Calamari, etc., and condensed it into one system. Next, the …
We were already using BambooHR when I started, and I will be switching eventually to one of the other providers if BambooHR does not do more for their Canadian customers
We have BambooHR because of its great interface and user-friendly design. It meets our employees' needs as well as our employer's needs. We have integrations with some programs where Bonusly isn't able to cover.
Rippling was by far the better option. ADPs offerings were terrible and I would not recommend anyone to go with them. Aside from the poor support/service and inability to be fully customizable, there were glaring issues regarding compliance. When we were in a PEO Model …
Rippling's HRIS is similar in quality to BambooHR and Workday. However, where Rippling outshines those platforms is in its added functionality and connection to other portions of the platform as well as other applications. Being able to have our HRIS and Payroll Software on the …
I was not involved in the decision making process for our companies HR tool but I have used both Rippling and BambooHR and I prefer Rippling. i thought Rippling was more user friendly and offered more information and benefits as and HR tool. I would suggest Rippling to anyone.
Rippling is more comprehensive than BambooHR in that it is an all-in-one platform that combines HR, IT, and payroll management. It’s ideal for a solution that integrates employee lifecycle management with IT tools. BambooHR is less comprehensive, in that it is primarily …
I have experience using BambooHR, and though it has similarities in most features, I would say that Rippling does the job because of its functionality in contract templates that we can utilize for independent international contractors. It is very easy to navigate and set up, …
Rippling is ahead of the curve on automation for HRIS systems. The others pale in comparison. If you need a system that functions as a multitool, this is doing the work that others cannot
Rippling was able to do all they they could do and more. And better. A major plus for us has also been the responsiveness from Rippling that we didn't get from customer support before.
Rippling is way ahead. I haven't checked the actual numbers but from our company being a somewhat younger company, we need new ways and more interaction within our programs. Rippling takes the cake by far. We're able to accurately schedule emails, deliver payroll, send …
Rippling has a better overall interface, making it easier to keep everything organized and find important information fast. It is also much better at integrating with third party tools, which means we can extend and modify it to fit our needs almost perfectly. This flexibility …

The company decided to switch to Rippling for better data management and because it offers more up-to-date features for both the company and employees.
La compañía decidió realizar el cambio a Rippling por mejor manejo de la información y por qué cuentas con funciones más …
I think Rippling has more features and is easier to navigate than BambooHR.

Really good as everything is under one umbrella. In collage we had to struggle to see what gets integrated or not. But with Rippling you have everything is infront of me. I just feel more comfortable regarding making things employee changes and things that employees need. this …
Rippling has a user friendly interface that allows employees to apply for leave and workfrom home easily as compared to bamboo hr Rippling has performance reviews and surveys, helps companies for feedback cycles. workday is also good but its for large enterprise. Rippling …
Rippling has some advantages in terms of time tracking, vacation tracking, and gps tracking. We had several issues with bamboo not working in the past and stopped using it. Rippling also seems to be priced competitively, and most of these companies charge for each additional …
Honest they are all better than Rippling in their respective areas, Deel.com international payments / contractor management, and tax filings, Bamboo much better for hiring, and data integrity. Gusto overall easier platform to set up and maintain. Rippling does the best job at …
The reason i choose Rippling from other apps is the wide range of integrations it makes the job very easy and also it is very easy to use compared to other software that are available in the market. For me the security it provides is the best feature as it has 2-factor …
In my opinion, superior reporting and easier access to manage HR & Benefits. Not too many bells and whistles, the user-friendly platform and data set pulls are great for myself and my clients.
Rippling seemed to align more with where we wanted to go as an organization than the other software options that we reviewed as part of the selection process. Rippling is continuing to expand their product offerings and it already connects with a number of apps. I really feel …
Rippling is just far more robust in terms of how it tries to do roll it all into one neat interface for both users and admins, along with the ability to generate customized reports that assist us with doing company-wide support ops, drilldowns or generally massive sweeps.
Rippling is much more intuitive. The UI is much more simple to navigate and does not require you to dig through several menus to find what you need like others do. I remember constant frustration trying to remember where certain features were located in other apps, but Rippling …
It works very well for submitting PTO requests and identifying information around personnel matters. I love being able to quickly see how long someone has worked for the company or whether there are upcoming birthdays so I can send a personal note. There are analytics and charts around organizational segmentation that are less valuable for a smaller company like ours.
Hmmm, this is a tricky one, as I was only really in charge of the LMS function. It is very well suited in the LMS section for a business that just needs basic e-learning building and a repository for company video content, a go-to for all things learning and education.
Recruiting- communications are easy for both the internal team and candidates
Onboarding- the onboarding tasks are great. I love being able to attach documents as well as delay sending out tasks
Communication- the employee community is a great tool to keep our communications clean and organized. I love that we now have insight as to who has viewed the comms
Three different options to view the hours you've worked in a pay period. All three are valuable in their own way! I love this and use each one every week.
Rippling has the option to retroactively log your hours later if you forget to log in before you start work. I love this because sometimes I take a work call on the go and don't have time to clock in first. Such a handy feature!
Rippling has also made putting in time-off requests (sick/PTO/etc) so much easier. I'm sure every HR team would appreciate this!
I feel like BambooHR is rolling out a lot of updates all at one time, which is awesome, but I could see somebody who's maybe not as tech savvy, feeling like it's a lot of information at one time. I think the support area of the website has thorough walkthroughs, but sometimes the search functions don't really take you to exactly what you're asking about.
There's nothing wrong with this platform. I would recommend it to any business starting with more than 10 employees. I will continue to use the program for as long as I need to, hoping they continue being tremendous and finding other ways to incorporate more technology.
The AI assistant has always been able to direct me to the correct solution to any question i have about Rippling. Payroll is so easy, it takes about 10 minutes to go through the process.
It's clear and well appointed with prompts on where to go for each category of information it holds. The user has limited access based on a need to know/job related basis. It has a clear help option with the ability to chat, email or read documentation on how to do something.
The user interface is very intuitive most of the time. It is easy to see where and how to navigate, edit, and interact with the software. The leave approval notification system (and associated communications) were the one area where this was not the case. Those were difficult processes to address. To be fair to Rippling, that is likely the result of our initial configuration - so user error on our part.
Yes, there is a huge team in the back of the online platform or it looks like it because I have never been left without an answer when I have a question or waiting from a response on my chat .... There must be a huge team, this is so great and I always seem to have someone that is very knowledgeable too. So many times in the past I had to leave with customer service that would connect you with someone else because of the expertise, here everyone seems to be some kind of an expert in the HR function.
I like that the availability in using Rippling at any given time is useful to me. Getting on the site freely when I need gives me security of knowing that I can be in control of viewing health insurance and hours information. I have yet to get any errors in using the Rippling app.
I love BambooHR. Reports are easy to run and download and it usually covers any types of requests I get from the management team. You get excel or .csv downloads/reports and it is fast and simple, not too crowded so it is easy to read through. We don't integrate the tool yet but again, soon we will. we just did not had the time to utilize it yet but that's the plan.
Rippling's performance has been great, no errors or glitches yet so far. I am confident that Going from one page to the next and all its complexity usage does not lag or times out, it works effectively and efficiently. While using Rippling and other apps it does not tend to slow it down, works great. No complaints.
I have used their support team over a dozen times. They have chat agents available throughout the day. They have support ticket submissions. They have their own resources website with different programs to learn BambooHR®. They also have onboarding support.
When I did have to reach out to Rippling for assistance I was able to get quick help and my problem resolved in a time efficient manner with out any type of hick up. The customer support team is professional, kind and always available. This makes Rippling more welcoming to use on a daily basis.
Overall this training was great and our implementation specialist was wonderful and very helpful. We felt really prepared once our training was completed, But we could get additional help immediately even when we were live. The continuation Support heros after implementation are wonderful and you can always get a LIVE person each time you call into their office.
We implemented bambooHR in Fall, 2023 then implemented Payroll 1/1/24. A vital piece of information was not known or missed in that we are exempt from State Unemployment Tax and have a Reimbursement Set-up, so bambooHR did not send Payroll Reports to the State. Those reports need to be sent regardless if we are exempt or not.
It's really easy to implement in comparison to other tools or applications. Different key points are easily configured and implemented as per need, having different configurations in systems. Implementation is something which binds the different parameters of an organization in a single row. Implementation of rippling is much easier, quicker, and error free than any other software. I recommend it strongly!
At my previous employer, I evaluated over 20 HRIS platforms before choosing and implementing BambooHR® (in 2019). I love it! The continuous improvements are promising and I actually feel like product feedback is reviewed and, at times, implemented. With BambooHR®, it truly comes down to what you are looking for. If I was solely doing performance management and career ladders, BambooHR® probably wouldn't be a fit. However, it does an overall great job at most things, and is a good quality product.
We selected Rippling because of its cost and ease of use. Our experience with Workday was not positive and we wanted to avoid a repeat of an expensive contract that ultimately does not serve our needs well. I also have a friend who works as an account manager for Rippling who provided early insight into the relatively new product.
Since my organization has dropped with employees, I always find ways to reduce costs. I thought there would be a cheaper option, but I was glad that my package included a lot for the price, and downgrading would cost more. The rep could have let me downgraded and taken me to a higher package. I am thankful that didn't happen.
There is so much you can do with this platform, it is incredible and so welcoming. We don't utilize it 100% yet just because we are growing and the HR team has not been able to concentrate on other areas offered to us but but we will soon. Which is also why we got the product, specifically because what BambooHR can do to help us meet our growing business needs.
I can go on here and see all my hours and pto plus health benefits. I like to have the work handbook handy to refer to legal things. How to work my role within it's limits. Being able to put in my hours and view when they are approved is a huge benefit for me.
Time Savings: Automating onboarding, payroll, and employee record management has cut HR admin time by up to 30%, allowing teams to focus on strategic initiatives instead of paperwork.
Improved Onboarding: Streamlined workflows have cut onboarding time by nearly 50%, ensuring new hires are productive faster, reducing turnover risk in the critical first months.
- Enhanced Informational Clarity: Centralized employee data means fewer errors and faster access to essential information, reducing compliance risks and increasing accuracy in reporting.
Routine things like PTO requests and document uploads now take a few clicks instead of hours of email back‑and‑forth. I’d estimate I spend at least half the time on those tasks compared to before, which frees me up to actually help employees.
What used to drag on for days now gets done in a morning - I've just asked them this now. New hires can log in, set up their tools, and start training almost immediately, so they’re productive much sooner.
Payroll and benefits errors used to pop up regularly, but now I almost never have to fix things or follow up on missing info. That means less stress for me and for everyone involved.
Having everything in one platform cuts out the “where did you send that?” and “who approves this?” questions. It feels like we’ve reduced our back‑and‑forth by at least a third.
