Likelihood to Recommend Setting up was covered by a dedicated account rep. It was a smooth and relatively easy process. Problems started a year in when I lost my dedicated account rep. Customer service would refer to the instructions when a question was asked. Sadly they didn't understand the question most of the time.
Read full review Solid Commerce may be helpful for small businesses that want to reach from one marketplace to become multi-channel based. However, I would recommend short contracts, long trial periods, request a teammate with 2+ years experience at the company and don't be afraid to communicate your needs. I do feel there is a place for the company in the marketplace, it is less expensive than most, it has a lot of benefits in segmentation and pricing needs, but it can lack in reliability and is not as reactive to customers for an e-commerce market.
Read full review Pros Around 18 months ago I started conversations with Orderhive as a potential vendor to run a large portion of our ecommerce business. It seemed promising, and the idea that the Plus (now called Enterprise) solution was customisable was the reason I decided to select Orderhive. There was a significant amount of due-diligence from my end. It took me around 6 months to get my head around what features the software currently had, and what we would need to have Orderhive complete as a customisation. This in itself was also quite a bit of work - there were a number of revisions to the contract documents, created by a non-technical sales representative. My concerns started around this point when I was unable to speak with a technical representative to discuss, in more detail, how each feature would work. Read full review It did allow for multi-channel promotion of the same set of SKUs. It diminished qty on all marketplaces when there was a sale on one. It allowed for multiple skus to change price. It allowed for SKU segmentation and multiple attribute tagging. When their company was smaller and more customer service driven, there was a lot of creative thinking to create sales growth. Read full review Cons shipping, I would like to be able to handle returns more easily. I would like to be able to handle stock differently according to order delivery dates. Order hive reserves qty for all the orders we place, I would like to be able to decide which orders reserve stock and which ones shouldn't. Read full review As their company grew and our e-commerce department grew, Solid Commerce lacked in customer service. At one point we could see a high turnover rate of Solid Commerce employees, leading to a disconnect for customers. We had a hard time functioning with other external tools like ShipWorks, ShipStation, our DMS, even uploading using excel files became unreliable. We ended our relationship with Solid Commerce less then a year ago because we could not rely on their automation and communication. They knew this for months before we decided to terminate the relationship. Read full review Usability Extremely poor, it is not a user-friendly automated time-saving system like what was promised. It is clunky and the development team is slow and creating very poor and unreliable results.
Read full review Support Rating The worst I have ever experienced, they are arrogant, rude and often abusive. They then blame us when we get angry due to the poor quality of the product and the extremely bad customer service.

Read full review ChannelAdvisor is a step up in building our e-commerce business. They have met our communication and customer service needs. They work with our other tools like e-Desk and
ShipStation reliably. However, that step up comes with additional costs.
ChannelAdvisor is an investment that is higher then Solid Commerce. However, we are about 10 months in and not once have we lost connection with
ShipStation or not been able to print pick tickets
Read full review Return on Investment There has been a negative ROI in this case. Not only have we paid a deposit toward the customisation of our orderhive implementation, there has also been a massive sunk cost of approximately 18 months of my time and effort. Read full review They helped us grow significantly from a small e-comm business to almost triple our size in four years. They led us to know where our breaking points are in a same day service oriented environment. They have great segmentation of SKUs and different pricing options of SKUs. They did have some creative thinkers to help their customers but I wouldn't know if they are still there. Read full review ScreenShots Cin7 Orderhive Screenshots
