Considered Multiple Products
ClickUp
Chose ClickUp
ClickUp was the best option for us given its low price, ease of use, and clean appearance. We moved from Zoho Projects, which was functional, but required advanced development knowledge to fully customize. Zoho Projects also was not as attractive or easy to use as ClickUp has …
Chose ClickUp
I still use both. ClickUp is a little "bigger" and has some more tunning over details. When someone ask me about which to choose, my answer is "you must try them"... start using both and you'll find the best using them and asking users how they feel.
Chose ClickUp
ClickUp is advanced enough to support power users and project management professionals, while flexible enough to allow users with fewer requirements to get the job done in the same tool, and the same space.
Chose ClickUp
ClickUp is a comprehensive platform but Zoho misses a lot of necessary tools. ClickUp has inbuilt tools required for fruitful collaborations and project management but Zoho requires a lot of integrations to match with what Zoho offers. ClickUp can have unlimited collaborators …
Chose ClickUp
We selected ClickUp for the cross collaboration, functionality, plus cost affordability. Google Sheets allowed for data tracking and team projects however it does not have notification abilities and workflow automations. We are able to streamline updates, data, create …
Chose ClickUp
Wrike and Jira are just two, but I've used many over the years. None have the flexibility and all-in-one potential that ClickUp has.
Chose ClickUp
ClickUp's hierarchy is a big selling point, but they truly are as close to an all-in-one productivity platform as you can find!
Chose ClickUp
ClickUp is more customizable than any of these other apps that I have worked with. Asana is great, but it has some serious limitations if you are working with a team, including assigning multiple people to a task. The pricing is also much better than the other options.
Chose ClickUp
None - Click up was my first.
Chose ClickUp
Microsoft Project has too many options and requires a college course to learn how to keep it moving. It is not live, no app access and has no comment threads. I did not personally use Asana, our marketing director did for his work and we were able to convert him to join …
Chose ClickUp
ClickUp was much more suitable and flexible on price point. The flexibility and customisation options were very important to us, for the price ClickUp charged, it was good value in money in comparison. This also included the number of team members/users we could add to ClickUp …
Chose ClickUp
I think the overall flow and user friendliness of ClickUp is far better. Very easy to use and setup and they have documentation and video guides that helps you find the best way to use it for your business type. Where Procore is strictly cloud based ClickUp allows you to have …
Chose ClickUp
Though I have plenty of ideas about how ClickUp could continue to improve, it's still the best platform I've ever used. Podio was one of my other favorites but its advanced features were off on a totally different platform so you'd have to leave Podio to go to Globiflow - it …
Chose ClickUp
ClickUp is far superior to all of them, except maybe Loom, but it's good enough for me and I don't have to pay extra.
Dropbox
Chose Dropbox
Dropbox is used at my university so I assume it's more secure or has more storage, but not sure. WE used ClickUp for group projects that are less confidential.
Chose Dropbox
Box sync did not always work well
SugarSync Very limited in its self imposed file structure
Chose Dropbox
I find Dropbox to be far superior to Google Drive from a functionality perspective. I have not used SYNC extensively but am currently testing it out. In the current political climate with rising tensions between Canada and the USA, I am considering moving my organization to SY…
Chose Dropbox
Dropbox has better features overall than these alternatives.
Chose Dropbox
I didn't select Dropbox, but I do like how universal it is and how simple the UI is. Brandfolder got really complicated, especially in set up, but Dropbox hasn't behaved similarly
Chose Dropbox
Dropbox is more reliable, allows for more file types to be stored, does not require constant sign-ups, and is overall much better for file management.
Chose Dropbox
Dropbox is much more sophisticated and reliable. I think that it is easier to set up and manage overall as a tool when compared to some of the other similar tools within the file management space. We do not have to spend as much time training people on how to use Dropbox.
Chose Dropbox
It's system agnostic, works on PCs and Macs, and is easy to use if you use the application version of Dropbox. It syncs almost instantly, and it is extremely easy to share URLs and provide access. It lets you edit both on the web page and in digital applications and lives as if …
Chose Dropbox
I use dropbox because you don't have to have a certain type of account, or account at all, to access a folder or files.
Chose Dropbox

- not secure enough
- access levels not well defined

Chose Dropbox
They are pretty similar and would also fit our needs. Especially Google Drive.

file organization and sharing is easier. I love being able to send a link.
Zoho Projects
Chose Zoho Projects
I won't say that Zoho Projects is the best in comparison to its competitors, however, it does exactly what we need it to do and we are saving on the monthly fees we are paying for its competitors. The pros outweigh the cons. I would say that it's also not the fastest in terms …

ClickUp
ClickUp is well suited to organize projects and communicate internally with teams members and externally with clients or vendors. If you need to track emails, any emails responded to from an email sent within ClickUp is automatically tracked within the task where it originated. It also works great for storing document files within projects and tasks and tracking multiple versions of documents created or copied within ClickUp

Let me describe a scenario that happened recently in our organization's marketing team storing thousands of images videos and pdfs and Dropbox is done a great perfomer in this situation by the product features which is very helpful for the team, such as smart sync reduces disc usage, preview support for many media formats & Integrate with Adobe Creative Cloud.

Zoho
My work involves projects of 5-15 people with numerous projects running simultaneously. Prior to Zoho, I did not have a central location from which to view all project statuses at once. Zoho looks to provide this and also looks like it will deliver. I am anxious to see how our organization's use of it develops. At this time, I feel I am likely to recommend Zoho Projects because my organization has made great software decisions in the past so I have a level of trust already that the research has been done that Zoho is the best solution for our line of work.

Pros
ClickUp
  • Customization is huge for us! We do not have the aspects of standard project management, so having the ability to customize basically everything in ClickUp is amazing.
  • An outstanding free version of the software! We are a small nonprofit organization that cannot afford the robust levels of other software, so having access to SO MUCH for free is incredible.
  • The layout and organization of tasks, Spaces, folders, etc. is perfect. I love how I can see which task all of my subtasks belong to on my dashboard. And the option to change colors and icons for everything also really appeals to my obsessive brain.

Dropbox
  • I can share projects I need feedback on.
  • I can make projects available to editors so that they can do their work.
  • Dropbox is a place where I can store files that I can access from anywhere, even if I don't have my laptop with me at the time.
  • I have an old friend who is an acting professor in Tokyo. He loves the dialogue that I write in my novels. He converts chapters into scenework for his acting students. They get very excited when there's new material!

  • We use it to manage our sales orders as there are lots of moving parts which are necessary to get client orders done properly.
  • I use it anytime I have a new idea I want to put into motion. As I can create a list for brainstorming, feedback, specific actions necessary in order to test and or implement the idea.
  • Unrelated to business, it's a great way to plan travel in order to make sure you don't forget those important things like passport, flight arrangement, client meeting confirmation, and meeting prep as far as what specific documents or things do you need to bring with you.
  • And since everyone is on the go and expected to keep up with work, the mobile/tablet app makes it a breeze to keep up, work on, and create new projects.

Cons
ClickUp
  • I would like to see when scheduling a task for someone, their available hours, as I am scheduling instead of having to go back to the workload view
  • I'd like easier UX and understanding of what all of the different levels of folders, lists, tasks, can do and what they should be used for
  • Notifications can be cleaned up

Dropbox
  • I’d like to be able to hover over an image/document and have it expand/enlarge without actually opening it
  • I’d love to see a carousel that lets me thumb through more quickly
  • I’m almost always in thumbnail view. I’d like to see them re-organize automatically when something is moved or deleted instead of leaving an empty space.
  • AI options for photo editing.
  • Easier pdf markups

  • There is no ability to add custom fields in the "Bugs" module - for example, if we want to add fields such as Version Number.
  • Reporting is not integrated - its a fairly expensive add-on.
  • There is no easy way to track actual and completed dates for tasks - so historical variance analysis is not easy.

Usability
ClickUp
Because for me, working with teams, ClickUp has provided a service that we longed for. Something that is non-complicated and easy to maneuver. We understand the learning curve can be steep, but we are willing to give the software a chance because it is everything we hoped it would be. However, leadership found the project works for our organization at this time. Moreover, we can customize to our needs.

It works extremely well, and we have never had any issues with connecting or sharing files. It's very easy to use, and any team member can share, add, and delete files to a virtual drive. This is extremely helpful, and it's an amazing tool to use, ensuring everyone can connect and work together effectively.

Reliability and Availability
ClickUp
For over a year ClickUp was unavailable to us just twice for a couple of hours. I would say for a system this big and working globally that was a minor issue. They managed to fix all the issues within a couple hours and then it was back up and running perfectly fine.

Performance
ClickUp
The speed of ClickUp is average to be honest. This is one of the biggest flaws of the system, sometimes it's also lagging a little bit but we also have a lot of documents, lists etc. on our workspace. However, with the next version of ClickUp I've seen they are planning to increase the speed by almost 500%, probably by changing the technology, so I am more than looking forward to it.

Dropbox is really useful, you can access any file from anywhere and you can upload and even edit files online, but, sometimes it can be slow. Downloading, uploading, and syncing is a bit slow, it can take several minutes. Furthermore, the search engine for large amounts of data can be slow too and it is not powerful.

ClickUp
I started using ClickUp when it was what most would consider a baby company. There were the occasional bugs that made working in ClickUp a little bit of a headache, but the support feature allowed me to chat with a real persona and communicate my issues. I would always get prompt support and someone willing to really help me, not just point me to FAQ pages. Not feeling like a number really makes a difference.

They immediately responded like in an example that I gave where one of our staff members accidentally deleted the whole Special Hope Network Dropbox, we immediately contacted Dropbox they walked us through the steps of how to retrieve the information and luckily enough we were able to retrieve the entire Dropbox and we have had back and forth with Dropbox on what to do when an employee leaves how to remove them how to add another employee.

Start small. Don’t try to build the most elaborate plans first. Resist the urge to get into Gantt charts if no one is used to them. Just get work written, add dates and assignees, and start getting used to it. If you did not use a work management tool before, you need to be gracious with yourself about the fact that you likely do not have the muscle memory for working this way yet. But you will get there.
And leverage people who know it if possible. Look for ClickUp experts and vendors. They can really supercharge your effectiveness at building the tool out and speed up the process.

I used Salesforce at my last job and would recommend ClickUp if utilizing the product for more than just sales. Zoho Projects provides a more limited set of functionality and customization options than other task/bug trackers on the market, but what it lacks in functionality it makes up for in ease of use.
