UKG delivers cloud-based HCM solutions including UKG Pro that help businesses simplify payroll computations, accelerate talent acquisition, manage time and attendance, and support proactive, strategic talent management on a global level.
The tailoring option in JazzHR works the best for us, of the ones we evaluated. We looked at 10+ other products, including many that aren't listed here. Mostly newer companies that may offer some flexibility in the way we are represented when we advertise positions. And again, …
Before UltiPro, we used Zenefits for employee PTO tracking and benefits administration and Trakstar for employee reviews. Trakstar was frankly awful - much more difficult to set up and use than UltiPro is now. Zenefits was far superior to UltiPro for PTO review and approval in …
When it comes to service and support, there is no comparison between UKG, Ceridian, ADP, Workday or other HCM vendors out there. The support that we have received over the previous three years has been the best I've ever experienced in my 15+ years of working in human resources …
We used Sage ABRA for 20 years prior to moving to UltiPro. UltiPro was hands-down a much higher quality product and more user friendly. The reporting capability was very intuitive and helpful. We had limited reporting capabilities with Sage ABRA. We compared UltiPro to Paycom …
Unfortunately, Dayforce wasn't an original option from our executives. I would have preferred Dayforce since they have a much stronger Payment Services as well as Canada Payment Service.
Workday is the answer for much of what Ulti lacks but the price tag is cost prohibitive. Ulti has a lot in common with ADP Workforce Now, both the pros and the cons. If you hate ADP WFN, you'll struggle with Ulti too.
Ultipro was compared to other payroll/HR vendors. They were chosen due to their excellent customer service, willingness to be innovative in their product offerings and ability to meet our business reporting needs.

BI reporting compared to ADPs reportsmith provides more of an analytical resource.
Honestly, the biggest factors are ease of use and empowerment to the end user. The other systems I have used didn't have all the functionality that Ultipro does. UltiPro offers a complete environment for HR management. This software seems to be ideal for the medium-sized …
Prior to UltiPro we used Ceridian; however, I was not part of the implementation team so I cannot speak to why we chose UltiPro. However, I can say that although we have found some shortfalls with UltiPro (previous versions of UTA and Performance Management) we have been …

Ultipro has much better customer service, everyone is friendly and willing to help. Another plus is you hear back from customer service at Ultipro very quickly. The reporting in Ultipro is top of the line. It is nice in payroll to see the employee's pay before having to run a …
Previously, we used the HR Module within the Microsoft Dynamics A/X ERP as our HRIS solution. The structure was cumbersome to manage. Tables were tied to each company. If you added data to one table, you had to add it to each table for each company. This made system maintenance …

UltiPro does it's own implementation and Workday outsources.
Oracle requires huge development investments and extensive testing. The platform requires constant monitoring, and personal handling of bug fixes, patches, and upgrades. UltiPro is much more simplistic and doesn't require as much maintenance. You don't have to manage the …
We chose UltiPro because of the seamless integration, and customer retention numbers. The account manager relationship, vs the call center with ADP was also a huge factor. The ease of implementation and maintenance vs Kronos was also a large part of the decision.
Since it allows you to tag candidates based on their level of talent or potential utility to the company, it is best used to identify the best prospects in large operations, such as multi-franchise oriented businesses that cover all kinds of sales. It can be used to make periodic assessments of the level of employee growth in certain departments, and based on the results let us know if certain employees would do better working in another type of area, so that the overall work operations are more uniform. JazzHR could excel in departments that use a high level of reporting, as its administrative tools provide high content reports with statistics on the performance of each employee or candidate at different levels.
I've really only had positive experiences with UKG Pro. Most recently we completed an import for salary changes but the data file contained information that should not have been imported and UKG was immediately on it to help us remove the job history record from those who weren't supposed to receive an increase
It worked well for the majority of our needs and is still in use even though I've left the company. The Resumator was an interim solution until we found a system that integrated with all our other internal systems. However, we ended up staying with it because of ease of use
We are overall happy with UltiPro and it works well for our organization and we have plans to expand our usage of it even more so we will definitely be continuing with the product. We are thinking of adding the functionality for training and recruiting as well, which is an add-on product
It's not a 10 due to the eTemplates. If those were less time-consuming to set up and if some common forms were available to select from already set up, then I would give it a 10.
Mobile App: Really easy to use and its nice to have an HR software that actually has an mobile application to be able to enter time and to take care of everything with. Web App: The system is relatively easy to use with maybe a little training at the beginning if you have used another system. But the site is really easy to use and a lot better having everything under one roof
I've found Ultipro to be completely reliable. Outages are typically planned to occur on weekends and only once did I have connections issues connecting Citrix to the server where our environment was housed, but within the hour connection was restored. I think that's a pretty good track record, considering I've used the suite daily for over three years. Especially when processing payroll--say the internet goes down in the middle of you performing a task... Ultipro is able to recognize that a connection error occurred and quickly restores the process that was running, avoiding lost productivity.
Normally UKG Pro loads quickly. We had been having major issues with reports running in a timely manner but recently they broke out our virtual server to another instance where is wasn't sharing resources and that seems to have helped reporting run more efficiently.
Each person I've spoken to have been helpful, positive and encouraging. Once you begin using JazzHR, they have intervals in which they reach out to you to see how you're doing or if you have any questions. When you're setting up, they review what you've done and offer praise as well as suggestions on how to make it work better for you. They offer webinars and online training videos to walk you through every process.
Support is quick to respond and helpful when you don't understand how to use or implement their response. They are great at following up and checking in as well as escalating cases when they are more urgent and need more attention.
I've been to a few in-person (hands on) training sessions and it is very similar to the online classes. You have the same reference material to look back on after the training. So regardless of in person training or online you really get the same thing.
I love that it's free and flexible. Some of it could have a little more hands-on and have trainers that can answer different scenarios. If the trainer has not been a user, they may not always be able to relate. In most cases they do a great job at answering questions.
A solutions consultant walked me through each step. It was easy. As I progressed in setting things up, their support contacted me to set a time to walk through any possible issues and make suggestions on a better way to set it up. At any time, if I had a question, they were available and there are also training documents and videos available.
Make sure you have all of your tax account information with all the states you are registered in available and that you are knowledgeable about the filing status, frequency, etc. We had some unique challenges with our state unemployment tax set up that I was not aware of and needed to be addressed prior to going live. Working with the state unemployment office can be a challenge.
Both Greenhouse and Lever at least seemed to have great products and great teams; they simply weren't worth 2-5X the cost for us. Now, let's be clear - a platform that helps you hire the best people is a certainly worth 2-5X (or perhaps 10X) the cost. However, for most small and medium businesses, the three platforms are very similar. Once you have ~100s of different positions or ~100,000 applicants, then a more advanced ATS could be worth the cost. For us, Jazz is excellent. We have about 8 types of roles and 250 employees, and we see the Jazz system working very well for us even as we grow to 1,000+ employees.
UKG Pro won hands-down. The flexibility, the family feel of the partnership, the customer support model, the reporting, the scalability, and the custom-programming needs of company-specific items were all much better than the competitors. The cost comparison also came in either close to or less than the others so the cost/benefit FAR outweighed the competitors.
