Overall Satisfaction with JazzHR

We use JazzHR in human resources for recruiting and applicant tracking. JazzHR streamlines our processes and saves us time. We are able to track communications to/from the applicant and to hiring managers as well as schedule interviews. We set up the job posting and JazzHR sends it out to the free job sites for us. It streamlines the process of finding the qualified applicants and filtering out those that do not meet job qualifications. The reporting features help keep us on track showing us monthly statistics and trends. The ease of use for our staff as well as for the applicant is excellent. 85 percent of our applicants apply via a mobile device and the application process is simple, easy to use and mobile friendly.
  • Ease of use - very simple
  • Mobile friendly
  • Excellent customer service
  • Great features to streamline our processes
  • No common templates available for eTemplates (Federal Tax Forms, I9, etc.).
  • The process for eTemplates is time-consuming initially (however, once you have it done, it's done).
  • When using eTemplates for new hire paperwork, there's no capability to copy/transfer information so it doesn't have to be entered more than once (i.e. new hire address/personal info is needed on tax forms and I9 - they have to type it in on each form).
  • Although there are good reporting tools, there are some limitations on custom reports.
  • We have found more qualified applicants since switching to JazzHR.
  • JazzHR streamlines processes and saves us time.
  • We receive a better review from applicants due to the application process being simple to use.
myStaffingPro can't come close to JazzHR! My initial reaction was this was too good to be true then JazzHR provided a free trial period and I asked: "Where has JazzHR been all this time!?" JazzHR has superior customer service; they are very user-friendly, and they have provided the solutions to the majority of our applicant tracking needs.
Anyone receiving applications for various positions on a regular basis could use this system for tracking and reporting. Companies with applicants that have limited computer skills but some mobile device skills, JazzHR is a great system to help them in applying for a job. If you only have one or two positions and not looking for regular applications coming in, then this would be more than you'd need.

Using JazzHR

3 - Recruiter/HR Generalist - uses JazzHR for applicant tracking and contacting applicants. HR Manager - uses it for upper-level recruiting and reporting features. Safety/HR Assistant - uses JazzHR for reviewing applications.
2 - Beginner to intermediate computer users can use the basic aspects of the system and the intermediate to advanced computer users have other features to help them further in the hiring process.
  • User & mobile friendly for our applicants.
  • Easy and simple to use saves us time.
  • Ability to filter unqualified applicants saves us time.
  • Some reports provide helpful insights into the recruiting process.
  • Eventually, we plan to use the eTemplate features for our onboarding paperwork for new hires.
This software has helped us to overcome challenges we had with our previous applicant tracking system. I couldn't imagine any software being much easier to use and still provided all of the tools available.

Evaluating JazzHR and Competitors

Yes - We replaced myStaffingPro which we found to be time-consuming, not user-friendly for the HR or the applicant side, and poor customer service.
  • Price
  • Product Features
  • Product Usability
Final decision was price. Product usability was the biggest selling point. While some others I reviewed were user-friendly as well, the price kicked JazzHR to the top.
Start with JazzHR. It would have saved a lot of time and headache.

JazzHR Implementation

A solutions consultant walked me through each step. It was easy. As I progressed in setting things up, their support contacted me to set a time to walk through any possible issues and make suggestions on a better way to set it up. At any time, if I had a question, they were available and there are also training documents and videos available.
Yes - Somewhat - You do have steps to follow to ensure the best use of the options such as setting up questionnaires for your applications for different positions, setting up auto-responses, ensuring your company information is correct then posting the job. You can set up new hire paperwork, interview guides, workflows, and other solutions but those aren't necessary unless you need them.
Change management was minimal

JazzHR Support

Each person I've spoken to have been helpful, positive and encouraging. Once you begin using JazzHR, they have intervals in which they reach out to you to see how you're doing or if you have any questions. When you're setting up, they review what you've done and offer praise as well as suggestions on how to make it work better for you. They offer webinars and online training videos to walk you through every process.
ProsCons
Quick Resolution
Good followup
Knowledgeable team
Problems get solved
Kept well informed
No escalation required
Immediate help available
Support understands my problem
Support cares about my success
Quick Initial Response
None
Although there is a JazzHR Support Team, many of my inquiries to support have all been answered by the same person, Dan. I've spoken to him on the phone and via email. Not once has he shown any negative energy that I kept asking so many questions! He has maintained a positive and helpful attitude. Others I have spoken with have done the same and have provided good feedback for me to have successful use of the software. They want you to do well.

Using JazzHR

It's not a 10 due to the eTemplates. If those were less time-consuming to set up and if some common forms were available to select from already set up, then I would give it a 10.

Easy to use
