It is a very nice platform where you can collect feedback about the team. It can be used without the names of people. It also has the ability to be updated later. when one of the people on the page scrolls the screen at the same time, all the people on the screen scroll this feature can be improved.

OnBoard is an adaptable platform that could be used for most meetings. It works perfectly to build an agenda and packet for board and committee meetings. It allows for easy RSVP to ensure a quorum at meetings. All users are able to easily view the packet and can even make notations of points they want to discuss during the meeting. OnBoard doesn't work well for detailed documents such as spreadsheets. Our company has a strategic plan and we cannot use OnBoard for that committee meeting. The size of the spreadsheet simply doesn't function well within OnBoard and isn't easily navigable. The same is true of certain financial spreadsheets.

Ability to follow other users' cursors makes it easy for a group to understand what a particular person is explaining
Drag-and-drop components for ease of use

Cons

It'd be nice that the zoom regulation could be easier to manage
The advanced features are a little bit easy to adopt. Why not adding some agile trainings, or some other tools to facilitate their adoption

Not all file types can be saved in OnBoard [Board Management] such as movies and things like that which aren't embedded in PowerPoint files.
Permissions can be unwieldy at times. It would be nice to have one screen that shows by [the] user all of their permissions.
The zoom functionality on OnBoard [Board Management] is different than the typical Zoom package as it doesn't provide for meetings vs conferences.
Files aren't saved logically sometimes.
Hard to move files from one folder to another.

We have already renewed our use for this fiscal year and will, most likely, do so for the next fiscal year. The board members are very happy with the ease of use of the software and access to materials. I am very happy with the ongoing webinars provided by OnBoard so that I can hear "best practice" tips from colleagues and learn about new features being added to the portfolio.

OnBoard Board Management Software 9.1

OnBoard is extremely user-friendly. I believe many individuals could begin using it without instruction just by clicking and looking around. It is very intuitive and the setup makes sense. I have older members on my board and they can use OnBoard with no issue and no training beyond an initial overview. During the pandemic, I've had some new board members easily use it without instruction since we weren't able to meet in person for an overview.

I haven't needed to contact OnBoard customer support many times because it's user-friendly and functions as it's supposed to/sold. On the occasions I've contacted customer support, they have promptly answered the phone or my email. In one instance, a board member couldn't access OnBoard prior to a board meeting and customer support was able to resolve the issue in the 10 minutes prior to the meeting. In another instance, a board member wasn't able to get the system to recognize all answers to a completed survey which prevented a compilation of results. Customer support viewed the member's screen and ran an error log to figure out the issue.

Implementation was easy and I was able to do it alone without OnBoard customer support, although customer support assistance was offered and available. The platform is very user-friendly and doesn't require assistance to implement in my opinion. The biggest hurdle is getting invitees to access the invitation email and set up their login.

Alternatives Considered

Mural was easier to use and share compared with Whiteboard. Whiteboard's functionality is limited. It is also integrated into Teams in an odd way that makes it difficult for team members to refer to old whiteboards. Mural as a stand alone web app is better.

We did our software comparison before the pandemic, so we might view things differently now. But for us, the customer service at OnBoard was the best and we thought it would likely be the best for our board, which has many people on it who aren't very IT savvy.

It has greatly increased the productivity of the team which in turn increase the productivity of the whole organization
MURAL definitely has hands in increasing the business for the organization by increasing productivity.
MURAL has greatly helped in personal growth as well since it boost ideas while brainstorming.

The portal is used by 99% of our board members.
The software was cheaper than the program we used before by almost 50%.
The software is easier to use than our previous program and therefore I spend less time on administration.
