Overall Satisfaction with OnBoard Board Management Software

We transitioned to electronic Board of Trustees meetings with OnBoard in October 2014. Prior to this, the Board materials were hard copy notebooks, which took hours, or even days to copy, collate, and assemble. Using OnBoard has cut that time drastically since the same amount of materials can be uploaded in an hour or less. And because the Board materials reside on the OnBoard server, our trustees can access the materials on any device from any location. The software is intuitive and user-friendly for both the end-user and the administrator. As the administrator, I appreciate that any last-minute changes to the materials can be made effortlessly, and the attendees to the meeting have the update as soon as it is uploaded. Support materials on the OnBoard Web site are plentiful, and technical support is very responsive. I highly recommend OnBoard Board Management Software.
  • Saves preparation time.
  • Can be accessed on any device from any location.
  • Intuitive and user-friendly.
  • Very responsive technical support.
  • Plentiful support materials.
  • Currently, you cannot block an entire group from a topic; you need to block attendees individually.
  • it would be nice to indent a section by using tabbing.
  • the added button for "save changes" in each section tends to slow down progress; edits used to be saved automatically and tended to be faster.
  • User-friendly
  • Cost effective
  • Reliable
  • Saved time on Board preparation.
  • Saved money on Board supplies for hard copy notebooks each month.
We evaluated several software packages before settling on OnBoard. One of the reasons we chose OnBoard was because it was easy to learn and to use for people with varying levels of tech knowledge and comfort, and it was cost-effective.

No, we did not purchase premium support. We were given initial online training with the software, and didn't think we needed to purchase addition support beyond the usual.
Yes - Yes, it was resolved within in the hour.
Yes. About 90 minutes before my Board of Trustees meeting, I could not log into OnBoard, and my IT department determined the problem was on OnBoard's end. I contacted my sales rep via email with an urgent message. Within 30 minutes the problem had been resolved and the meeting went on without a hitch. Responsive tech support is invaluable.

Using OnBoard Board Management Software

OnBoard is easy to use for both end users and the administrator. This was invaluable in training new users with varying levels of tech knowledge and comfort - some were very tech-savvy and some were more hesitant. I think a more complex software would have been daunting to some. OnBoard has the ability to offer many features while remaining user friendly - the best of both worlds.
