Unsplash for Brands vs. Zerys

I love that I can get real-time and trending content made available on current events. When writing 5-7 articles a day, a good image to support the context of the writing really drives the message home to the reader. Unsplash offers an easy way to search for images that I can use to boot visual engagement, images that are from the field and that resonate with the audience.

I sold a few inbound marketing contracts with the expectation that I could find writers for the project on Zerys. We were looking for good writers that can understand the tone and branding of our business and after a few trials with some of the writers at Zerys, I finally found the one that understood us and then created amazing content in no time.

• The customization options for the written pieces you can request are endless and thorough.
• Some writers are very fast and effective, making our link-building process quicker.
• It provides notifications along every step of the writing process so that you always know where in the pipeline your content is.

• Would like to see more variety for commonly searched images
• Indications if you've used the images before on the site and when (dates, challenges)
• Information on the photographer/creator

• There are instances where the writers don't understand the article to be written and don't give you the content you are looking for.
• The auto reporting feature needs some work. Too many email alerts and no option to change that.
• Hard to find good writers. Often writers only loosely follow directions so you end up reworking their content anyway.

I need to learn a little more about the product and its capabilities before I give a higher review. However, the availability of image trending is far superior to Getty or Getty Enterprise.

I think the usability is awesome. The UX and simplicity is great and allows you to quicky find a suitable image. Compared to, for example Shutterstock, it's way more accessible. The added collection feature is also nice, since they are relevant for the time of year. The quick filters on the top are useful as well. And the download is always fast.

I would say that Unsplash for Brands is a lower-end budget and easier option for projects. Again, if you need something very specific - whether it's in industry, pose, subject, or environment, then you'll likely want something a bit more expensive with a larger library available. That being said, we've been able to tackle a number of projects with Unsplash for Brands.

Access to many freelancer writers covering a wide range of topics and the relative ease with which you can manage the writing and editing process with a freelancer writer is good. I believe Zerys has acquired a talented group of writers that are well-versed in a diverse number of topics. Zerys is reliable, and the customer service response is fast, which I greatly appreciate. I do not believe Zerys' interface is as simple as it could be, however.

• Excellent for using photos for content creation, keeps things fresh yet still on brand for our program's needs
• Ease of use, directly implemented in the program to directly find an image without needing to leave the site
• Perfect since it's free!

• Zerys has allowed us to grow our linkbuilding campaigns much more quickly than we would if we tried to create all of the content in-house.
• We save so much time hiring outside writers to write content rather than writing it ourselves.
• We are able to take on more projects than ever because we can rely on Zerys' writers to get things done on time.
