We use Marketing Solutions by Criteo's platform for our eCommerce and marketing solutions to convert prospects into customers. It helps a lot in our lead generation efforts to optimize our content and targeting to turn prospective traffic into paying customers. We also use a lot of audience matching and retargeting to bring users back to our narrative in their journey.
  • It helps us to dynamically retarget users based on their past behaviors
  • Create and run display campaigns for lead generation
  • I like the summary of ad performance and reporting
  • I think if they had a free trial option, we would be able to better evaluate our need before signing up.
  • I wish there were more targeting features other than retargeting. Would love to target based on interests.
  • Video features are limited. Would love to see new products here.
I feel this is a great tool in terms of ease of use and user experience. The platform makes it easy to set up campaigns and report on performance. I feel targeting features can be more evolved outside of dynamic retargeting. But this is a great tool for certain verticals getting started.
I feel there could be a better support library and best practices that provide benchmarks and industry best practices. I also feel there is not enough support in terms of new product announcements and future road maps. This can help marketers use the tool's various features and be more productive.
I feel because the design is so easy to understand and get started, I have found it extremely valuable to onboard new team members and run new ad campaigns for our different marketing objectives. I feel the simplicity of the dashboard and the features it covers have made a positive impact on our lead time.

Marketing Solutions by Criteo was a great resource for re-engaging with customers no matter when and where they visited us and whether or not they converted. Our partnership with Criteo and the retargeting solution has allowed us to boost campaign performance and lead conversion. The success of our company and all the employees relies heavily on sales. Marketing Solutions by Criteo has been great for our retargeting needs and ensuring we stay in touch with a customer from initial visit, all the way until sale. However, we have had to work with the customer service team a bit to enable successful integrations. The customer service team has been great for our specific needs. The algorithm of the platform delivers strong results for our business. It has been easy to use minus the integration issues, and we love being able to access the data and results.
Marketing Solutions by Criteo customer service is fast, dependable, and consistent whenever we call upon them. They were easy to work with and helped us understand how to fully use the platform to our best advantage, based on our company and customer base. Additional videos and tutorials diving into specific platform features and real-life scenarios would be beneficial.
Criteo's platform is very easy to use from a marketing standpoint if you understand key terms. The frontend is very user-friendly and I personally had no issues. I enjoy being able to see key results and metrics being tracked from the dashboard. It is also easy to filter things as desired to break down data.

We are using Marketing Solutions by Criteo mainly to improve our e-commerce campaigns by using their shopper graph. We had found that we were able to increase the average ticket value as well as increase the [number] of purchasers when we started working with them. Most performance metrics improved as the conversion rates also increased dramatically.

I would recommend Marketing Solutions by Criteo for savvy marketers who want to increase their conversion metrics and are going to be optimizing [their campaigns] every day. The way to get the most value out of the platform is by constantly iterating with a focus on the metrics and keep making adjustments to the campaigns. I would not use it for campaigns focused on brand building, traffic, or awareness objectives.
I think Marketing Solutions by Criteo offers a very robust solution for an ad tech platform and their support team is very knowledgeable about their product. I would like to see, though, more webinars and training about the technology behind the product to give us more tools to talk to our customers with more information and better visuals.
As I said before, the product works well, specifically for performance campaigns, and their team is competent and responsive. It can be integrated [into] almost all DSPs and ad tech platforms via their cookie matching technology, making it very friendly to the end-user as well as the media team that operates those platforms.

Marketing Solutions by Criteo is best suited for performance and conversion campaigns where finding the right user is paramount for the success of the campaigns. For branding objectives, Marketing Solutions by Criteo does not offer a very robust offering as the product does not offer enough scale to expand the desired audience and is more focused on reaching the users it has already seen in the past.
I think for performance campaigns, Marketing Solutions by Criteo is a great solution, and it has to be on the plan as it will work very well regardless of the format (video/display) or setting (mobile/desktop). I think for branding campaigns, the solution and product still need to be developed further to improve my rating.
Marketing Solutions by Criteo is easy to use, and the support team is very helpful for any doubts that may come upon the campaign's settings. I would say the thing that works against usability is that the attributions methods used are not very transparent, and that is sometimes difficult to explain to our clients.

Criteo is a trusted partner of ours and it is used mainly by our ad operations and marketing department. We used to work with them only for retargeting campaigns, but in the last year or so we have also started using the user acquisition suite of products with very good results. Criteo helps us acquire and retain users in the North American market in order to accomplish our clients' CPA goals.

Criteo Marketing Solutions is specially useful for performance, bottom of the funnel campaigns. We use them not so much to create awareness but to help boost our conversion ratios and increase sales from returning users.

I would definitely recommend Criteo for verticals focused on online shopping and e-commerce and not so much for traditional branding campaigns.
Criteo's support team has always been very helpful and they have a lot of knowledge about their product as well as the digital marketing industry as a whole. Their platform is easy to use and there are a lot of online tutorials available, but in the few cases I needed to contact them they have always been very professional.
Usability is a big plus for Criteo. The platform is really intuitive and easy to use. The only thing I would like to see improved has to do with more granular reporting to analyze the same variable in more than one dimension and be able to boost our optimization efforts.

I think they are a great demand source to have in your mix, but not a standalone. I think it is important to have them fall within a cascade of other partners--that way you have a better overall fill rate and eCPMs. They have a great niche product that many others don't offer and really take their ad quality serious.
We had a great support team and dedicated account manager. They were always extremely responsive and answered all of our questions in a timely fashion. We really appreciated the 1:1 feel that they gave us and all of the customer and tech support they provided. It is a very customer centric company.
Their UI and platform were super easy to use, their customer service was top tier, and the service they provide is pretty unique. I think this is a great solution for publishers to have in their mix. It has been a great experience overall and I would highly recommend working with them.

We moved away from AdRoll thinking we could get even better results! Very bad decision, big waste of time and money. Even though they service seemed easier to use and this company has a certain reputation the experience was a disaster! We are quickly going back to AdRoll! Also the account manager at AdRoll was much better than the Criteo person. Only thing better in Criteo they take care of the design of your banners, but it wasn't good enough to bring results...

It becomes a big big issue. So if you get results from your actual online marketing agency, don't switch - you might lose a lot!

The ability to dynamically serve ads to users who have viewed specific products on the website has increased conversion rate and boosted overall sales by more than enough to keep the tactic on the media plan.

We are using Criteo for dynamic retargeting for one of our e-commerce clients. Criteo helped us in targeting various website including Facebook in terms of showing the product ads. The ROI from retargeting ads is minimal and it's helping us to use our marketing budget more efficiently. We get notifications from Criteo when to increase or decrease the bid to use our Criteo budget effectively. I would rather say with minimal effort it gives maximum ROI.

  • Great ROI, as Criteo display ads to all those potential customers who visited us online, the ROI is excellent, it targets almost all high traffic websites.
  • Reports are not available, e.g. from which website we received impression, clicks & orders.
  • Feed update, I am not sure but If we could update feed through API, it will be much easier to stay up to date with product data.
  • Sometimes it took time to update the data in the dashboard report.
It's a great marketing tool for B2C industry, particularly for the e-commerce industry. As I have seen the Criteo ads on Facebook, as a marketing person we don't need to run a separate campaign on Facebook. Product Ads looks superb with prices, discount codes and it certainly helps to convert those customers who left the website earlier.

Criteo is being used across our entire site. It helped us achieved great placement for our retargeting ads where past agencies had low budget placements at the bottom of sites.
  • We prefer them as our partner for retargeting as we are paying per click instead of per impression so only if the customer is interested and engaged do we pay.
  • Not only do we do retargeting but we also do a mirroring of the user for customer acquisition as well as targeting our customer list who has not engaged.
  • Their easy to use interface and campaign set up is also helpful
  • I would like to see more options for customer acquisition

We use Criteo to promote our items, but there is only one department which uses it; the department is called "Webshop," with around about 5 employees. We use it to strengthen sales and promote the reputation of our company. Even items of the current season or sale-items could be pushed with Criteo.

Criteo Dynamic Retargeting is being used to remind customers of their recently seen items. It addresses the problem of customers forgetting about our items. It helps a lot to get recognized and be remembered. As a user, I find the ads to be a bit overbearing, but as a graphic designer, I do know how important that can be.

Currently we are using Criteo in marketing for our advertising campaigns for our masters, courses and careers. The business problems we have detected is the adaptability of the images to the different spaces, in addition to the little personalization of the tool.

We use Criteo as a solution to retarget people who visited our e-shop product and have not converted. We also use it to acquire new subscribers for our monthly beauty box as pure acquisition without retargeting. So we have 2 types of utilisations for 2 different goals: subscription acquisition and eshop retargeting.
  • Great retargeting for eshop products and a high ROAS
  • Possibility to use a catalog even for only 1 product which is great to decrease our time spent on creatives
  • A lot of data available on the platform
  • I can't stop my campaign by myself if there are some problems on the website
  • I can't do major changes without talking with my account manager; it is not very easy when we want to have a test and learn approach
  • I do not launch as many messages than on other levers because it is not really easy to launch new creatives quickly
It is really suited for classical online eshops. When the catalog / pixel / creative templates are set well, managing Criteo is really easy. We have a great ROAS and ROI with a low time spent on the platform.

With our box campaign (without retargeting), it is more complicated to have clear explanations on our products and to push different messages because we only have 1 template. We consider that lever as a top of funnel one whereas our main goal is conversion.

Criteo helps us with retargeting users which showed interest in our products, but didn't place a order. Like most companies in e-commerce you have quite a good amount of users that abandoned the cart without buying and Criteo helps us to bring those people back, which shows good results. We use it in different countries and it's steered by our performance marketing team.

Criteo works well if you have an e-commerce website with a lot of traffic and a big amount of people showing interest in your products, but don't convert in their visit. Criteo can help to reach those people again and remind them of your brand and products and ultimately convert them.
