They offered complete set up training and help in navigating through all of the initial report builds. We had a Jaspersoft representative walk us through all of the steps to fully set up and launch our beta service to our first client. In retrospect, I think it would have helped if the person had been a little more knowledgeable in our industry and database but that would have been a little more above-and-beyond if they could have predicted the data builds we would need for better reporting performance.

Having just completed an upgrade to the latest version of Jaspersoft, I am happy to say their support was very good. There were a couple of small challenges which were not easily resolved, but they were primarily related to the fact that we had skipped updates for a couple of versions. The current update procedures assumed we were upgrading from the prior latest version (6.4) to to the new version (7.1).

Our integration requirements were complex, but Tibco were able to find a way for us to get things working. The open source nature of the product makes this easier to an extent.

TIBCO Jaspersoft is highly flexible and able to be fine customized into our custom business enterprise solution. Anyway the complexity of our solution reflects in some additional effort when trying to map all our requirements into TIBCO Jaspersoft. This sometimes leads to performance issues, that requires continuous improvement of the solution, but TIBCO support is always available to help and contribute in getting it a success.

The learning curve to complete the implementation was quite steep, and there are a lot of moving parts within a Jaspersoft deployment which can make it a challenge. However, we have now reached a stage where we rarely run into any implementation issues as the level of knowledge has increased sufficiently.

Super easy to install and/or upgrade! For all the big name software out there that does some business critical things, Jasper is a pleasure to install and/or upgrade. The bundled installer is all ONE install (one shell script execution at least) that sets up everything. Vastly superior to most other software of this caliber.

Since we needed to do a lot of editing of config files I am not satisfied. We were not able to automate deployment of reports. So that's why you got a bad mark. When anything goes wrong it hard to find in log files, and support and community is not that great, so spent a lot of hours to find solution myslef
