Overall Satisfaction with TIBCO Jaspersoft

  • Flexible visualisation
  • Deep integration with wider software product
  • Highly customisable
  • Not as polished as higher end BI solutions
  • Product development and support responsiveness can be sluggish
  • Commercial/account management contacts dont add value
More flexible than Qlik, easier to integrate and cheaper to run.
Less polished and ultimately capable than Tableau, but more flexible commercially and technically.
In terms of commercials and support, easier to deal with than either Qlik or Tableau.
A good BI visualization solution where you need a balance between powerful functionality and detailed customization. Good breadth of functionality (canned reports, self-service etc).

Support and Training

Support is pretty good, sometimes have had to escalate to get to the bottom of more complex or urgent issues, but generally issues are well tracked and comprehensively dealt with.

Our integration requirements were complex, but Tibco were able to find a way for us to get things working. The open source nature of the product makes this easier to an extent.

Training was adequate but required an investment of effort on our part.
Again, the open source and community background of Jaspersoft make answers and information relatively easy to find on line.
