Depending on what you were looking for, it's not full-on identity management, but it does provide password management which might work for your organization and the needs at the time.

Quick search and more features than other competitors and having security certifications and ISOs. It is also very reasonable in terms of price and features that it offers in the cloud platform.

1Password is overall less enterprise ready, in my limited experience with their product. LastPass also offers more than 1Password in terms of related functionality, like their MFA & SSO options. LastPass is also less expensive than 1Password when comparing apples to apple, but still offers more room to grow, and feels like a more mature product.

LastPass makes things much easier to manage for multiple users than KeePass. KeePass is great, but it greatly depends on the user to keep track of their password files. LastPass cannot auto-fill outside the browser (or at least easily) like KeePass can. But other than that, I have no real complaints between the two. from a multi-user management and reporting standpoint LastPass blows KeePass out of the water.

LastPass – Simple, Straightforward cost per/user/month billed annually per user. Can trial. Features include: a vault for every user, shared folders, standard security policies, basic reporting, multiple admins and a “super” admin ability (super does everything, reg admin can be limited), zero-knowledge security model, access from anywhere, add and remove or instantly block access recommended for 50 or less size teams. Able to import our current Excel list. LastPass will never know your master password. They have it super encrypted and can never get to it in-case they are ever hacked. Very good reviews. Put simple - the others just didn't compare to these benefits. Ratings for LastPass surpassed the other three.

  • Keeper
We recently evaluated Keeper and were very happy with what was provided there. Ultimately we stayed with LastPass because there was no real cost advantage to move and we have deep inroads with LastPass already.

LastPass outperformed the other solutions we tried. There are strong players in this password management space, but LastPass provides a solid product with a price-point that is affordable for any size organization. Other solutions we tried had barriers to entry (i.e. user minimums) that we find unacceptable. Small businesses need protection too and LastPass offers a solution that does not exclude the little guy.

At the time of our evaluation, LastPass had the best integration with Active Directory and the most flexibility with enterprise security policies. In addition to these features, several employees had positive experiences with LastPass personal accounts. We did an extended >1month fully-featured product trial in our environment and had a good experience.

We never tested any others because two of our employees (including our Admin) already used LastPass for Individuals. Since you can link the personal LastPass to LastPass for Business, and we had experience on our side, it didn't make sense to try any others. We have not regretted our decision in the slightest.

As I alluded to, I personally prefer 1Password's UI/UX, though it is about twice as expensive as LP ($7/month/user vs $3). However, it's hard to put a price on security. I always believe the less obtrusive/confusing security is to implement, the more likely that security won't be bypassed by your employees, and hence 1Password is more secure than LP even if its level of encryption/security features are essentially the same. I was personally against purchasing LP over 1PW actually, but my friends in IT say they are now thinking about switching to 1PW.

LastPass provides better customizability than Dashlane. With more features, we can customize LastPass as per our requirements. The wide array of security feature keeps passwords secure in one database and protected like a vault. Better protection keeps passwords secure than Dashlane. You can add multiple accounts using LastPass, this is a unique feature that helps to achieve multiple access. Dashlane doesn't have many of these features, which makes LastPass a better option.

Prior to LastPass we relied on "in house" methods of secret management and password memorization across services. At that point, very early in the company's history we had issues with password re-use and lost passwords. Some of that was mitigated by using multi-factor authentication, but it wasn't until we moved to LastPass for Business that we truly were able to say we adhered to security best practices. We selected LastPass for Business because it was the best platform (most credible/reliable) at the time we made the decision.

I've used 1Password for business, albeit in a limited capacity compared to LastPass. They seem pretty comparable, but this seems like a game of firsts. Whomever you start with, you stick with. All I can say is you need password management as a business and LastPass works for what we need.

PassPack and Chrome's default password remembering tools weren't listed here but I am commenting on them below:

PassPack: LastPass has a much better UI and doesn't require login every time you want to check your passwords. Faster to use.

Chrome password manager: LastPass is FAR more secure than the default Chrome password manager.

The products were both found to be comparable, but LastPass beat out TeamsID on price. All features felt similar, though I did find the TeamsID user interface at the time to be slightly more user-friendly. Both possessed an app, etc.

Many of the alternatives we reviewed featured similar functions and features but LastPass for Business kept outscoring those alternatives, especially due to its familiarity with our employees who already use LastPass for Personal use. LastPass for Business also seemed to have more 2FA options and very robust mobile apps for both Android and iOS. LastPass for Business also had very easy to use and intuitive access controls for administrators.
