Overall Satisfaction with Absorb LMS

We use Absorb across our entire organization across dozens of office locations throughout the United States. We deliver all of our organization-created courses as well as off the shelf courses to all of our employees, including new hire orientation as well as individual training modules. This has helped us tremendously in cutting costs from traveling to locations to do training as well as creating a standard form of training across all locations.
  • Standardized training for all employees.
  • Easy delivery of new hire orientation courses.
  • Automated creation of manager groups.
  • Easier way of seeing who employees report to so we can create manager groups.
  • This has been a positive ROI as we can track all course completions for audits as well as cutting costs for travel and training.
Support is very helpful when needed. It is easy to open a ticket and support is always quick to assist in getting the issue fixed the first time. My only issue was an issue we had for a long time when trying to get the file feed up and running which never seemed to work right, however it does now work correctly the way we want it to.

Would you buy Absorb LMS again?

Yes

Absorb is very well suited for any company looking to standardize training for all employees. It is also best suited when paired with a course vendor to pick specific courses aimed towards employees and their interests. This makes orientation very simple. We used to have a 2-hour orientation conference to cover everything these courses can cover.

Using Absorb LMS

A wide variety of admins, managers, & the majority are learners that use the system for trainings throughout the year. This also includes in house created courses in addition to "off the shelf" courses through our vendor OpenSesame. Absorb LMS has really helped us streamline training across our company and ensures that each location throughout the United States is getting the same high quality training.
2 - We only have 2 top level administrators that control, assist employees, edit/add new content and use Absorb Create to create brand new content. Both administrators picked up and learned absorb on the fly with very little additional training needed. The software is very intuitive and easy to learn. Our admins did come from a systems/IT/training background so that may have helped as well.
  • Streamlined Training for All Employees
  • New Hire Training for new employees including orientation and job specific courses
  • Self help training on a variety of aspects such as microsoft office and tools
  • Meeting mandated/required training regulations across the company (sexual harassment courses and other similar state required courses)
  • We opened the admin side to all managers/supervisors to manage their employee's trainings and to assign courses that would fit for each person
  • We recently setup a file feed between Absorb LMS & ADP to auto update employee information so it doesn't all need to be updated manually
  • Right now, we only use courses but would like to expand to use live sessions if possible/video led demonstrations/etc
We have no plans to move away from Absorb at this time. It has all of the functionality we are looking for in a learning management system and we have a lot of info stored in our LMS system for trainings including all of our current and past employee transcripts. It is also getting easier to manager with being able to connect the LMS to ADP to update employee reporting/department/location/etc. We don't have a need or reason to move away from Absorb at this time.
