Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We currently utilize ADP SmartCompliance for improving our overall efficiency in processing, compliance, audits, and reporting/tracking. The tools have provided immediate insight to where we are for all activities and tasks as it relates to the full payroll process. We now spend time on audits and strategic reviews in place of tedious, routine tasks that previously consumed staff time. Prior to SmartCompliance, we often were tracking down issues and remediating them with considerable amounts of time involved to do so. ADP provides us the opportunity to be most proactive in our approach to balancing taxes, improving time to deliver and reducing our efforts maintaining and tracking issues; which have become almost non-existent.

Pros and Cons

Full integrations - certified and proven with Workday.
Process efficiency - Settling payroll and moving through the process with communication.
Manages the detail - our focus is on confirming.

Garnishment processing - this is a tough and moving area that requires changes with different states and processes within each integrated system.
Analytics - very good here (Unemployment side), but other areas could improve on where we stand and the overall process analysis providing additional information.
Continue the full integration of Modules - enjoy having the 1 stop shopping for all of our needs; user experience continues to grow in best practice strides.

ADP SmartCompliance can meet or exceed most expectations. Of course, every organization has their own specific needs and situations. However, ADP SmartCompliance provides a vast number of solutions to accommodate most issues, business concerns, and certainly the compliance side regarding taxes, payment process, garnishments and reporting (audits and security). If an organization is looking for full control of every step of the process, then ADP might not be the best fit; the model is to relinquish staff time to perform other, also important, tasks within the organization. Thus, ADP frees up this time letting them focus on the ever often changing local, state and tax laws, while we just sit back and audit and confirm/validate. We also find the cross balancing between the two systems is much easier and feel more comfortable with this process.

Support Rating

There is always room for improvement as with anything we do, this includes our own organization along with our partners such as ADP. As clients provide additional information, ADP's ability to improve will continue to grow and then provide those services back to the clients. It's this partnership that brings the ultimate value to both organizations.

Usability

SmartCompliance continues to evolve - and with this said, overall the products work tremendously well. It's the small fine tuning that continues to occur over time that increases new features, improvements, reports, and other areas allowing organizations to further utilize the tools at their fullest capacity. This does take time however, and patience works to our advantage. If in doubt, we ask our support team members and they often take note of our suggestions/recommendations.
